“First took our 6 year old cat here a few months ago for an illness visit after deciding to switch vets from a vet we were previously seeing in New Jersey. From the moment we walked in we knew immediately he was in good hands and have then decided to take the rest of our cats here as well.

The staff here are friendly, patient with both humans and animals & very knowledgeable. In both times we have been to the Fishtown office; I have had no doubt about the care our cats have received, have left the office feeling like any concerns or questions I have had were heard and answered and that our cats were well taken care of.

“My cat is not a patient at Just For Cats, but they were so incredibly helpful to me and my cat when I was desperately searching for a bag of her special diet food. My cat’s food at her regular vet was out of stock, my delivery order of her food was delayed, and my cat was running out of food. I called and emailed dozens of vets in the Philly/Greater Philly area, and Just For Cats was the only one willing and able to help me and my cat, even though she is not a patient with them. Without their help, my cat would’ve run out of her special diet food and I would’ve been at a loss for what to do. I am so grateful for their help, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate practice for their cat.“

“Dr. Herman has been great helping me with my cat that has stage 3 kidney disease. He is very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. All the staff have been very nice and the atmosphere of the office is very homey, unlike the sterile feel of other animal hospitals. This hospital is a 30 minute drive for me but I will continue to make it for the wonderful care my kitty has gotten. He even likes it when he’s there even though he hates the car ride. I’m happy this hospital was recommended to me to help my best furry family member have a happy life for whatever time he’s got left with this diagnosis.“

“I had taken my dog with me on a several hour drive. About an hour after leaving home, I realized I didn't have a leash to use to give him a potty break! I was running late, but looking for a pet store or something on my side of the highway so I could run in quick and get a leash, but I couldn't find anything. I saw the sign for this vet and hoped they would be open and have leashes for purchase. They didn't have any for sale, but were happy to give me a free one from a drug rep that had dropped them off. So... LONG story short, they were very sweet and helpful, and if I was in the area again and was in need of their assistance, I would definitely go here!“

“Providence Animal Hospital, and especially Michelle from Providence, are the BEST! I’m out of the country and my dog was taken to VEG in Philadelphia… I called Michelle and providence to get their opinion on my dog’s condition, and she was the nicest person and did everything she could to help figure out the best plan of care for my dog. It meant so much to me that Michelle genuinely cared that much about my dog and did everything she could to help, unlike some of the people at VEG. Not even kidding, Michelle’s bosses should triple her salary and give her a 3 month paid vacation… SHE IS THE BEST!!!“

“Our first visit went very well. Dr. Mengine and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr Mengine was very thorough with my dog Lola's exam. She patiently listened to all the information I had to share about my dogs health and former treatments from another veterinary clinic. She offered me a detailed explanation of my dogs test results from the last few months and came up with a new plan for us. My dog was given high blood pressure medicine and prescription dog food and expensive supplements from the last vet and Dr. Mengine explained why they were unnecessary. She did more blood work, but only a very specific kind that didn't cost as much. She promised to call me with the results if they require follow up. I was recommended to this office from my friend/neighbor and I am so glad I tried them. Hopefully Lola will get a clean bill of health shortly, and I can be relieved of worry and unnecessary costs.“

“Dr Rose DiLeva is a very kind, intelligent Doctor. She has treated three of our dogs one for chicken allergies ( we had no idea) one with acupuncture for a torn acl which previous vet wanted immediate surgery. Currently treated our new rescue for seizures! In the last four months after Dr Rose has given acupuncture and concentrated herbs by prescription. We have seen a remarkable success. We also love that she doesn’t overbook and is so patient with all of our questions. We highly recommend her and her friendly technicians.“

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. McGrath, who initially explained what happened to my dog in a way that was super easy to understand, Dr. Brewer who had my boy in surgery the same day and saved him. AND all the staff who helped Corkal along. He is not easy to deal with ( if I'm putting it mildly) and I appreciate all the care they gave him, even if he didn't seem like HE appreciated it.“

“The vets at Aston Vet are all so caring, patient, and gentle with my dogs. Gracie and Spunky are both nervous pups and the vets and techs do everything they can to make them comfortable. They are very responsive to setting up appointments for more urgent needs, send reminders for routine visits, and even have a convenient mail order pharmacy service for my pets regular medicine. 10/10 service with 10/10 people. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who has pets!!“

“Recently switched to Unity after a bad experience with my previous vet. My bulldog had been getting reoccurring skin infections and experienced hair loss over most of his body. Got an appointment quite quickly and as soon as Dr. Trow saw him she immediately relayed that she thought that he had Cushings Syndrome. After an 8 hour test the results did come back positive for Cushings. She quickly put him on a treatment plan and it's been a little over a month and he's doing much better. His hair is growing back, his sores are almost non-existent and he's even lost a few pounds. God bless Dr. Trow, she literally saved my dogs life.“
