“Great experience with Elements Roofing. They put on a new roof for me 15 years ago…at the time they did a solid job, completed on time and professionally. I have been very happy with it!
Recently they came out to make a warranty call because of a leak I discovered over my porch. They came same day, evaluated it, came back the very next day to fix and voila! No hassle, no questions about if it would be covered under warranty.

“We had 503 roofing replace our 22 year old roof with the CertainTeed Northgate 50 year shingle. Frank, Jose and the entire crew did an amazing job that only took them 2 days to complete from start to finish. I really wish Google had a 5+ star rating as we were really happy with the work they did and the timeframe it took to get the job done.

Frank was very communicative via text before, during and after the work was done. When 503 replaces a roof they also replace all the vents on the roof to reduce risk of leaks later on. They also warranty their work on the roof for 10 years in addition to the 50 year warranty that comes with the Northgate shingle.

As you can see from the photos, the new roof looks awesome and all of the vents were replaced at the same time. During the demo, they did find a few roof boards that had dry rot and replaced them. The contract includes 2 roof boards and even if there are more the cost to replace is under $100 per board.

While the crew was working on the roof, they also noticed that one of the side moldings to the house had dry rot to it (see the photos attached) and was able to replace that while they were there. This was so impressive since this was not really part of the roof, but they noticed it while they were working, took the damaged wood out, went out to get new moldings and replaced it while they were there all for under $300. That was definitely a lot less expensive than trying to find another contractor to come out to repair it, if we could even find a contractor willing to come out for a smaller job like that.

When the crew was done they did an awesome job of cleaning up everything. Naturally with a job like this there are a lot of nails used and some will fall off the roof. They crew uses a magnetic sweeper to go over the driveway, street, sidewalk, etc. to make sure they get them all picked up so you don't end up with flat tires. I was not able to find any strays in the driveway or street when they were done.

You would think with all of the work I described above that 503 Roofing would be more expensive than some other roofing companies. We did not find this to be the case. We received 3 other bids and two of them were more expensive and the third was almost identical to 503, but only had a 5 year warranty on their workmanship vs 503 Roofing that has a 10 year warranty on their work on top of the 50 year warranty that comes with the CertainTeed Northgate shingle.“

“C&V went over and beyond compared to all the other estimates (6) I received. They accommodated comparing apples to apples, so it was easier to see that I was getting the same quote across-the-board. They were attentive and address every question and concern that I asked of them. “Overall I was satisfied with All Surface Roofing. The folks who answer the phone are very professional & friendly. My estimator was very knowledgeable and provided helpful insights to help me make a decision. One thing I wish I would have requested is to have him mark the cedar shingles that he recommended be replaced. This was a 2-3 shingle bundle project and they are not cheap. The reason I would have liked him to mark the shingles is because I trusted his expert opinion. When the 3-person team came out to replace the shingles-they used their judgement to determine which shingles needed replacement. I’m not confident that their judgement coincided with that of the estimator. After all-it is a judgement call. The replacement team did a fairly good job cleaning up their mess. I would have liked to see the integrity of the shingles they replaced, but they put them into a black garbage bag. If I were to do it over again, I would have asked that they be left out for inspection before being stowed away. I think that is in the interest of both parties. I did make a call to have a crew come back to insure that all exposed staples were driven into their cedar shakes. That project was completed very quickly-much appreciated.
Would I use All Purpose Roofing again-highly likely. But I would follow my advice and have the estimator mark the shingles recommended for replacement. That way everyone is on the same page and we know pretty close to the number of shingles needed to complete the project and which shingles were suspect.“
