“We are first time horse owners so this experience was crucial. During night checks we realized that one of our horses had somehow(still a mystery) sliced all along the back of his sheath open. We called around 9pm and got ahold of someone immediately, they said the on-call vet would call us back shortly and she did!
I was able to text her pictures and she determined that since it didn't look to need emergent response someone would be out the very next day to check him out.
