We unfortunately hired an inexperienced contractor to initially update our master bathroom and fix a leak issue, but they ended up making it worse. Our neighbor referred us to Elite, and working with the Elite team restored our faith in humanity. They are extremely transparent about expenses, options for finishes, and how long our project would take. The team guided us throughout the whole process and made sure that we visited their showroom (and partner showrooms) to ensure we inspected everything we picked out. While they were fixing our bathroom they uncovered so many other issues the other contractor left behind. The team walked us through what they needed to do to make it right. We appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. Getting on Elite's book is worth the wait! “UPDATE: In September, one month after Jeff finished our deck, there was a strong storm and our neighbor's massive tree fell on the deck, destroying the privacy wall and causing damage to the posts, along with other damage to our house. Jeff was adamant on making sure our deck was fixed right. Upon inspection of the frame of the deck, it was PERFECTLY INTACT, just as square and level as the day he built it. That speaks volumes about Jeff's craftsmanship. Of all the contractors we've worked with over the years, Jeff is by far the best. He truly cares about the people he works with and the job he's been tasked to do. He will always be the person I recommend to anyone thinking about having a new living space built onto their home. Any big home project can be nerve-wracking, but working with Jeff was a breeze. He took all the anxiety out of everything we were worried about. From dealing with the city on permits and reworking the schedule, Jeff made sure that we were 100% happy with the outcome. “Over the summer we had Cai Cabinetry install for our new kitchen. Not only was the work gorgeous but it was fast and efficient. They were very nice to work with and made sure we were as educated as we wanted to be, and satisfied at every step.

This past week a cabinet door broke due to a dumb accident on my part. They immediately sent out a guy to fix it, no questions asked.

I only recommend them to my family and friends when it comes to any work they can do. They’re professional, honest, trustworthy, and all around a pleasure to work with!

Update: After a year we had a small piece fail on a drawer. Probably my fault putting a full Costco foil box in it. Jianshen picked up on a Saturday and ended up driving replacement pieces over. I still compare all other businesses to CAI.“

“We used Columbus Granite for 3 projects, two visits to our home. First time for kitchen counters and bath vanity top. We were so impressed, we worked with them again for another bath vanity top. It's easy to look at the inventory, Jen is always helpful and you know what to expect as far as estimate and process for completing the project. Everyone who came to our home was courteous and careful which can be hard to find when you have people working in your home. No issues we were not informed may happen and the site was clean when they finished. We'd use them again.“

“I can't say enough good things about Lyle Environmental. We have an older home and were concerned when we found asbestos and mold. They took care of the issue for a VERY reasonable price and all of the employees I encountered were friendly and incredibly professional. “You want to live with a remodel for a while to see if it actually ticks all the boxes you had hoped it would. Given my 5 star review, The Cleary Company did just that! You get what you pay for. They were here just about everyday. Progress was constant. In comparison, a house just down the road started a garage to master bedroom conversion within days of our project. Ours was done in about 4 months... even with the unforeseen hurdles that come with such a massive undertaking. My neighbor? They have had a blue tarp over the build for several months (but it does appear to be moving forward again). I highly recommend the Cleary Company. They were knowledgeable, helpful and quick to adjust to our wishes. We are thrilled with our new space!“

“OHR finished our basement and we highly recommend them. We chose OHR because they didn't try to pressure us, and did not try to push a "cookie cutter" project on us. Everything was customized to what we needed and wanted, and they worked with us to maximize what we got for our budget.A few things that stand out:1) Communication and Timeliness: The project started almost exactly when they predicted it would, and was finished almost exactly when planned. The man in charge of our job (Todd) was here almost every day, and on the few days he wasn't here he would text to let us know not to expect anyone and why. He also always let us know when to expect subcontractors like electricians and plumbers. Jeff (co-owner) was here regularly to work and check up on the job. No one came through our home that we did not expect, and everyone was respectful and friendly. Our dog loved having so many visitors, and she has been a little depressed since the job ended because she's not getting as many belly rubs now.2) Quality: Everything is well-done and customized to what we wanted. They really took their time on things like cabinetry and moulding. They even went back around and caulked to seal any tiny gaps between the floor moulding and wall, and they took their time installing our cabinetry so that it looks perfect. Renovation is messy, but they kept the mess in the basement to a minimum and upstairs offered to mop up the floor between the basement and back door. They also took into account things that you wouldn't see after the job was done, like noise dampening between a bedroom and the unfinished part of the basement containing the furnace and water heater, and extra blocking behind the drywall for heavy items we intended to hang on the wall like a tv.3) Cost: We chose OHR because of quality, not because they were the cheapest, but even so they worked with us to get as much as we could for our budget. An example that stands out: The job was supposed to begin in late January/early February. During the week between Christmas and New Years they learned that prices on drywall were going up significantly on January 1st. They let us know, purchased the drywall before that happened, and brought it to the basement during that holiday week to avoid that price increase. Additionally, we chose to do the painting ourselves to save money, and they were careful to work time for that into the schedule before installing cabinetry and finish moulding so that we wouldn't have to paint around it. On the few occasions that an unexpected charge came up (for example, the shower pan we'd chosen was delayed by months and the one they could get right away was like $200 more) they let us know what the charge would be in advance and got our approval first.My only complaint about this job is that we didn't do it earlier.
