Equipment is clean and top of the line. Great environment as well.Luckily, Dom is a much better trainer than he is a golfer.“

6148 Wilmington Pike, Sugarcreek“Honestly I’ve been afraid to leave a great review for fear of dissatisfied members from the Lyons location flooding this one. But it appears I’m not alone in my appreciation for this location.
This is a great PF, MILES above the Lyons location. It’s always clean, staff are always present and on top of their duties, not to mention just the *nicest* people. The manager here has gone above and beyond to address any concerns I’ve had, including helping me locate an ID I lost in a time-sensitive situation.
The only thing is the space is a bit small, and the 30-minute workout area is crammed into a small space downstairs and is frustrating to use because of this. Otherwise, this location is excellent and I’m so glad it’s available as an alternative to Lyons, which is *awful*.“

3287 Seajay Dr, Beavercreek“Over the years I’ve accumulated a few recurring injuries from sports, working out, etc that were steadily flaring up more often and I was worried that lifting any serious weight might exacerbate the pain day to day. I’ve worked out on and off throughout my life however when these injuries would flare up, I’d basically quit to “rest and recover” but I would lose any progress I had gained and then get frustrated from losing all my hard work…Rinse and repeat. I found that I would be “resting and recovering” for longer and longer periods of time, basically avoiding the gym or any semblance of a consistent training program.
I was hesitant at first to start working with a trainer. This was coming from a misplaced point of pride because I had played sports my entire life. I thought I had a solid base of knowledge to fix it myself. Well, I was grossly wrong. After just a few sessions with John, I realized I had been wasting so much time trying to do this on my own. John was able to quickly identify weaknesses that were related to my injuries and he put together a program that started to strengthen areas that I had completely overlooked leading to an immense improvement in my mobility and quality of life.
The results have been nothing short of amazing. I am lifting heavier in every single category than I ever have in my life. What’s even more incredible to me about this is I am doing it PAIN FREE. Don’t get me wrong, there are training sessions where I might be sore or feel like a muscle/tendon is aggravated and coming from a past of being told to “push through the pain” has probably led to several of my problems I’m addressing now. However, the most incredible part to me, which has also led to enjoying my training sessions with John so much more, is that whenever a problem arises, he quickly diagnoses the problem and comes up with a solution to work around it. At times this can include isolating the muscle group to try and work through it or sometimes, completely flexing the workout to more of a physical therapy/recovery session. This allows me to continue to see improvements in my training even when I might not be able to push 100% and preventing any unnecessary injuries.
I mentioned above I was hesitant to work with a trainer but in hindsight I really wish I had just taken the leap earlier. The marked improvement I’ve noticed over the last ~1.5 years is nothing short of amazing. I'm very excited for this next phase that we are starting and look forward to continually improving my overall health working with John.“

5513 Bigger Rd, Kettering“At Ninjobstacles, our 8 year old son loved open gym and wants to return! We are on the difficult mission to find our son a great regular fitness class that he will love and commit to. We're interested in trying out a class to see what it entails and if it's the right fit.I like the all the room and huge open space the kids can use, as well as the thick padded gym mats for safety. The place appeared clean, smelled clean and the air conditioning worked well for cooling and air flow. Also, there were picnic tables for parents (with chess and checkers boards) to watch their children. One side is for ages 12 and under; the other side is for ages 13 and older (or whatever your child can easily reach, per staff). However, I was really expecting more variation in the obstacles like ramps, ropes and climbing walls. More swinging options too. Instead, there are mostly a few different styles of monkey bars.I wondered if Ninjobstacles is currently under construction and/or new obstacles/features will be added in the future. Inside the building, it appeared unfinished, including repainting the walls.“
“I went to one of Jo's yoga classes and had an incredibly beneficial experience. Jo obviously has a wealth of knowledge as well as a kind, approachable demeanor. I'm convinced that she knows more about my hypermobile EDS body than I do. I received more help and understanding from her in a few minutes than I have from a bevy of other medical professionals over decades. I feel completely renewed and able to breathe again. Thank you, Jo!“

1149 E Dayton Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn“By far the best planet fitness I ever went to! Way better than the one in Dayton! Updated equipment, very clean, even guest are cleaning when their done with equipment which is a plus too! The front desk/workers are really nice greeting everyone and not on their phones, actually doing their job. The atmosphere just feels great in there. The bathrooms are clean , nice and cool. They even have blow dryers for after a shower! Only thing I wish is that the showers were more private and had somewhere to put your clothes/towels for after the shower. But other than that no complaints!“
