“I came home from Florida to a freezing house. Ricky Tynes of Tangora Heating, Cooling,and Energy, came in to save the day. The system was shot. He came on Thursday night, the night I called, which was one of the coldest nights of the year and installed a new heating system in a day. I called other companies who let me know they could come the next day or the following Monday. One company told me they couldn't come unless my driveway was free of ice, salted and sanded. This was after an ice storm. Ricky and his crew did an excellent job. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up completely after themselves. They got the heat back on quickly. “Most plumbing shops in the capital region use what's called book time when they bid jobs. That's how you end up paying some guy $1,000 to change your toilet. Whites is one of the last shops that still does time and material and their labor rate is between 100 and $115 an hour. A lot of unlicensed plumbers are charging $150 to $200 an hour. I would highly suggest getting a second opinion from Dwight's before you have any Plumbing work done and make sure that your plumber is actually licensed In the area that you live, especially Albany. I see so many plumbing trucks that are lettered with a company name yet have passenger car license plates instead of commercial license plates.“
