“This is the best kennel ever! I used to take both my dogs here and it was fantastic! They were involved with other dogs and were still with each other. I recently lost my older dog and put my younger in the kennel last week. He looked sad to leave us. But after only a day or two Melanie posted pictures and it was clear that my dear dog was happy and amongst friends in an excellent and safe environment. Truly a doggie holiday. “Mid Island Animal Hospital is a Veterinary practice and hospital that goes above and beyond. I wanted to share this experience so others, who love their animals, would know about how wonderful the care is at Mid Island Animal Hospital. I have been taking my golden retriever puppy there since she was 12 weeks old. Recently, my 17 month old dog stopped eating and was just sleeping all day which was not like her at all. I thought maybe she had a stomach parasite or some other simple issue. We were taken that same day and seen by Dr. Stephanie Acevedo. Dr. Acevedo was extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and compassionate. She understood we were in shock and upset with the test results and she took the time to explain everything several times. She never rushed us out or made us feel bad about asking so many questions. She was so knowledgeable and compassionate. She was just great with my dog. The dog required emergency surgery and Dr. Acevedo arranged everything with the surgeon so that the procedure went smoothly. She guided and helped us through this difficult and stressful time. Thank God that the surgery was a success and my girl will be just fine. Huge thank you to Dr. Acevedo for saving my girl. I must also add that the Vet techs and front office personnel are just amazing. They treat both pets and families with kindness and respect. From beginning to end, this practice takes care of and goes above and beyond for their patients. Your family is in good hands at Mid Island Animal Hospital. “I sent my puppy, Charli, to Dedicated Dog Training for a two week Board & Train. James did a great job with her. From the beginning even before I sent her away, James was great communicating with me and was very helpful and responsive. He even came to me to meet Charli before agreeing to a Board & Train to make sure she was a good fit.

When she came back home, she seemed more responsive to commands, better with loose leash walking and generally just well mannered.

We had 3 follow-up lessons after she returned home so we were able to reinforce the things she learned. James also gave me tips and guidance so I can keep the training going.

“Absolutely love bringing my dog to Dans Pet Care! First off the staff are all super friendly and welcoming. You know right off the bat your pup is in good hands. All the staff give tons of attention to your dog and you get a glimpse into their interactions with others by the pictures sent with their end of day report card. Dans runs special events through out the year that brings extra fun and excitement for the pups. The special photoshoots are an excellent keep sake to see just how much fun your puppy is having. My high energy pup comes home super hungry and super tired from all the fun she has. The dogs get plenty of outside time and run around in the sprinklers when the weather calls for it. You really can’t ask for a better place to bring your pup to keep them socially engaged with other pups. Top notch facility with a super top notch staff!“

Gave us all the time needed in our final moments with my precious girl. It really was comforting seeing a caring staff, that really stood out to me and I appreciate it so much!
