“The groomers at Snoot are artisans. They spend a great deal of time on your dog and are meticulous, with extremely impressive results. My neighbor's cocker spaniel comes out looking stunningly handsome and clean every time Snoot grooms him. The store is also very sanitary and well-lit, and the entire operation is transparent. You can see everything they're doing -- no dirty back rooms or filthy cages. The place is spotless. The owners are also patient and treat the animals with utmost care.“

“I've meant to review this place for so long, and now I have a little free time. I just picked my Bouvier Des Flandres up from a groomer in Seattle tonight. There was no rhyme or reason to his haircut. He looked like an abstract painting, and that's not a compliment. I've heard it before: "He's so hard to groom! He doesn't sit still!" I know that. And that's why I wish I still lived in NYC, because I swear, the woman who groomed our Bouvier at Honey's was some kind of dog whisperer, and I've compared every groomer to her since then. NYC, you are LUCKY to have this grooming salon. I remember calling after 5 hours asking, "Is my dog ready?" She answered, breathlessly: "He's a challenge. He doesn't like the clippers. So I brewed myself some coffee and left the clippers on, buzzing near him on the table." She actually gave my dog time to desensitize to the sound, and it was effective. I've tried this myself, but it wasn't the same. I can't recall her name, but whoever you are, you truly have a connection to animals. You are patient, kind, and you are an artist!!! If I could charter my own jet with my dog to your salon, I would!!“
“We only used Throw Me a Bone so far for private training sessions with Jesse. Jesse has been absolutely great, and helped my young puppy (18 weeks old) with some basic training, which has already helped tremendously. Planning to attend group puppy classes and, possibly, grooming in the near future.“

“My black cat, Freddie, is normally a very high-energy, feisty young cat; clipping his claws is a team sport for me and my boyfriend. He started forming a mat on his belly that neither of us had the confidence to deal with, so I reached out to Allie. I was able to schedule an appointment a week after contacting her. Allie took care of Freddie professionally and efficiently, and also gave us some tips to help reduce the likelihood of matting in the future.“

“Stephanie and Sonny provide better dog care than we ever could have imagined — they run an amazing small business, and provide so much value, and we feel soooo lucky that we found them.They are incredibly attentive, communicative, organized, and go above and beyond to make sure that each dog in their care is not only safe - but having a fabulous time.Our pug has some separation anxiety and has historically hated daycares but he LOVES going to Stephanie’s and runs right in. He has made many nice doggy friends (he has his favorite pals. Shout out to Benji, Gus, and Chicken Nugget), gets taken on private potty walks every day (no going inside on fake grass/fake fire hydrant), and I receive fun and hilarious email updates letting me know what he has been up to and who in the “pack” he’s been hanging out with.Initially, we felt nervous and even guilty sending our dog to a daycare, but we knew we had to do it to accommodate our work schedules. Now, we think of Stephanie’s daycare as the best possible enrichment for our dog.Finishing Touches is the best of the best and has my highest recommendation. I have full faith that their grooming services are top notch too, even though we have never used them as our dog has a short coat. The dogs in the “salon” seem very calm and content when I see them during drop off.“

“Unparalleled expertise for Bichon Frise grooming in NYC! My puppy, Bijou, is still young and she is getting used to the process of being groomed. Roger is patient, gentle, and clearly loves what he does. When Bijou became very matted from wearing a cone around her head after spay surgery, Roger took great care to demat her. He and his team kept me posted by text to let me know that she was tolerating the dematting ok and also how much it would cost. Bijou always leaves looking like a Bichon show dog, and the care and professionalism are top notch. I have seen several other breeds of dogs in there being groomed and all of them come out looking fabulous. If you want the best for your fur baby look no further!“

“I’ve been taking my dog to camp canine since he was 5 months old. It was a fantastic socialization experience when he was a puppy and he grew to absolutely love it! It’s been 2.5 years now and he still goes and knows “camp canine” by name. The staff here are so friendly and recognize and greet my dog by name every time he comes! Amanda is the absolute best and treats my dog like an absolute king - will even personally send me photos when he’s there - my dog adores her! The owner Mike is so responsive and truly cares for all of the dogs. Brenda is so caring and sweet with my pup and all of his friends! Lena and Aria are always very responsive and friendly when I call or am dropping off and Lynn goes out of her way to find a spot for my pup when he needs a bath or grooming. Speaking of grooming, I cannot recommend Kathy enough for doodles - she just nails it! I am so grateful to have Camp Canine in the neighborhood and always know my dog is getting the most attention and love when he’s there. Highly recommend!“

“I've been taking my recently turned 1yr old shih-poo here and they hook him up making him even better than he naturally looks. Amazing job grooming everytime. Only cons are the huge lack of English spoken, brushing the teeth sometimes and they don't buff the nails just cut. But that's not enough to not go. Grooming for us has been AMAZING“
