I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary care and support you provided to our family during this difficult time. The professionalism, empathy, and expertise displayed by your funeral director, Jennifer Lee and staff made an otherwise overwhelming experience much more manageable and bearable.
From the very first meeting, we were impressed by how thoroughly the funeral director educated us about the entire process. From the very first moment we walked through their doors, Gus treated us not like clients, but like family. His kindness, patience, understanding, and genuine empathy brought comfort to us during unimaginable pain. Every detail was handled with such grace, professionalism, and heartfelt sincerity. He went above and beyond in every possible way to make sure my mother’s services were beautiful, honorable, peaceful, and filled with love.

From start to finish, Mike showed professionalism, compassion, and genuine care for my family during a very difficult time.He honored my service as a City of Yonkers employee by providing a 10% discount, which meant more than he knows. Every time we called—no matter the hour—Mike was available, patient, and ready to help. He handled the memorial slideshow beautifully, taking that stress off our shoulders, and even arranged an on‑site casket viewing, which made the process much easier for our family. One thing that truly stood out was the flexibility and trust: payment wasn’t due until the day of the funeral, allowing us to focus on grieving and planning without added pressure.Whalen & Ball treated us with dignity, respect, and compassion. 732 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers“As native of the Wakefield section of the Bronx, the name 'F Ruggiero & Sons' has been a brand I have known for decades. I use to pass the former location on White Plains Road (close to East 237th Street) as a small boy everytime I went grocery shopping with my late mother during the 1980s. After their departure from the neighborhood sometime during the 1990s, I always knew that someday I would have to call on them to properly send one of my loved ones on their ultimate journey. After a horrific experience with a Bronx-based funeral chain that caters to the Latino community (not mentioning name) after my mother's death from cancer in February 2008, I told my sister I will not utilize that funeral home's services whenever it was my father's turn to start his voyage to Paradise. She understood completely and on September 15, 2016, she made the call me and my siblings dreaded when my father, Ramon, died peacefully in his sleep after 89 beautiful years on this earth. I flew into New York from my home in Toronto and zoomed up to Yonkers via Metro North. when I arrived, I found myself in a beautiful, solemn environment that brought peace to my heart. Viewing my father, who looked not only peaceful but handsome in his traditional 'guayabera' shirt and black slacks, I was moved to tears. I was so elated and proud of not only the facilities and services provided by the staff of this amazing instiution, but their kindness. They provided me a letter on request which I had to provide to my local unemployment office so that I was paid for the days I was away for my father's funeral. Furthermore, the staff did an amazing job organizing burial honors with the Department of Veterans Affairs. I was extremely moved to tears the morning of September 20, when the pallbearers who transported my father's casket from their Yonkers location to St. Francis of Rome Church on East 236th Street and Barnes Avenue in Wakefield (my family's parish for over two decades) brought the casket into the church and bowed and paid their respect to the huge crucifix depicting the Crucifixtion. Their staff also accompanied me and my family to my father's burial at St. Raymond's and took care of arrangements with the cemetery's officials. I can't express my sincerest thanks to the amazing staff and family at F. Ruggiero & Sons. Everyone was a class act and I returned to my home in Toronto knowing that my father got the goodbye he truly deserved. Highly Recommended! Not only are they a New York legacy, to me they are my heroes for giving my father a beautiful goodbye.“

3489 E Tremont Ave, Bronx“I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience at Sisto Funeral Home. First and foremost, this establishment exemplifies peak performance in customer service and compassionate care. The facility is always impeccably clean and looks grand, as if it is ready for a grand opening at all times. I had the privilege of working with the funeral director, Ralph Faiella, who displayed professionalism from our very first conversation and demonstrated a genuine sense of empathy for the loss of my loved one.
There were no gimmicks involved; Ralph was straightforward and honest throughout the process. In my effort to make an informed decision, I visited approximately 25 other funeral homes, but ultimately, I returned to Sisto. Ralph set a high standard that others failed to meet.
Upon arriving at the funeral home, I was also greeted by two other gentlemen in the office who were equally welcoming. Although I regret that I do not recall their names, I recognize that this is a family-run business, and these gentlemen are essential in maintaining their outstanding customer service. Ralph guided me through the entire process, remaining communicative and informative at every step.
The day of the funeral was exceptionally challenging, yet funeral assistants Jose and another gentleman—whose name I cannot remember—provided remarkable professionalism and support. They treated all the guests with kindness, and I will update my review once I obtain their names, as they deserve recognition for their exemplary service.
I must commend them for the care they showed my mother; it felt as if she were their own family. My family and friends were profoundly moved by how beautiful my mother looked at the services. The mortician, who is also a family member, possesses a truly divine gift.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the send-off they provided. Ralph, thank you for your assistance during this difficult time. I wholeheartedly recommend Sisto Funeral Home to anyone faced with the daunting task of selecting a funeral home for their loved ones, as it will undoubtedly alleviate some of the burdens during a challenging period. Thank you once again, Sisto Funeral Home.“

“My family member was entrusted to New Rochelle Funeral Home, when I saw her on the day of the funeral, I was amazed at how beautiful she looked. Bigger is not always better and Peter has the best price in town, trust me on that I have done my research. Do not judge this place based on looks, just trust the process and Peter will deliver. I was very happy that all the family members felt the same. He answers you when you call and that is considered great customer service. Our funeral was on November 4, 2023. Thank you Peter!
