When my aunt passed away I had no idea how to arrange a funeral and felt completely overwhelmed. I am not from the area so I had randomly contacted a few different funeral homes that were either dismissive or didn’t follow through on sending me information. From the moment I contacted Ruggiero they treated me with incredible kindness, patience and compassion. As native of the Wakefield section of the Bronx, the name 'F Ruggiero & Sons' has been a brand I have known for decades. I use to pass the former location on White Plains Road (close to East 237th Street) as a small boy everytime I went grocery shopping with my late mother during the 1980s. After their departure from the neighborhood sometime during the 1990s, I always knew that someday I would have to call on them to properly send one of my loved ones on their ultimate journey.
