As native of the Wakefield section of the Bronx, the name 'F Ruggiero & Sons' has been a brand I have known for decades. I use to pass the former location on White Plains Road (close to East 237th Street) as a small boy everytime I went grocery shopping with my late mother during the 1980s. After their departure from the neighborhood sometime during the 1990s, I always knew that someday I would have to call on them to properly send one of my loved ones on their ultimate journey. I cannot say enough about the incredible care and compassion we received from Ruggerio and Sons during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Losing my grandfather has been the biggest loss of my life, but they made everything feel more manageable, seamless, and deeply respectful from start to finish.
