He also helped us with many important matters we didn't even know needed to be handled, including the cremation permit, notifying New York State and Social Security, and obtaining death certificates. Since this was our first time arranging a funeral, his experience and guidance were invaluable.
We especially appreciated that Mr. Ha speaks both Korean and English. Our mother speaks only Korean, while the rest of us are more comfortable with English, so this made communication much easier for our entire family.
On the day of the service, Mr. Ha's colleague Steven was there to make sure everything ran smoothly. He beautifully arranged the flowers, set up the slideshow, guided us through the service, and kept everything on schedule so we could make our appointment at the crematory. These details may seem small, but they meant so much to us. We were emotional and in no condition to manage the logistics ourselves, and having someone as experienced and attentive as Steven made a tremendous difference.
Although we wish we had never needed to meet Mr. Ha and Steven under these circumstances, our family is incredibly grateful that they were there for us. They helped us give our father the respectful and meaningful farewell he deserved.
