I had the pleasure of working with Wilfred Cheung during my time working on my shoulder pain and stiffness at Spear. I have only great things to say about him and the entire team that I got to work with (including Chon, Ruben and Thomas) at the CityView location! Everyone was so positive and helpful and I always felt very welcome and in good hands. There was a positive, encouraging and energetic atmosphere that made me feel assured and supported.
From the moment I walked in, Dr. Dussan was kind, thoughtful, and patient answering any question I had for her and never made the appointment feel rushed. Right from the start you could see her passion for her profession. The office was clean and very convenient off the 7 train. Highly recommend anyone needing an optometrist:)

I was impressed with how spot on perfect he got my hair to how I wanted it. I gave just a few details that most barbers tend to ignore or not get right when I tell them. Not my man Jose! He nailed it! He’s also very nice and polite. I highly recommend going to him. You will not be disappointed at all. The service and experience is top notch at “The Tatted Barber”. I’m so happy that I now have a reliable barber to go to. I highly recommend getting your haircut here. But, go see for yourself!

I was searching for a new barber and came across Jay. I have a rather peculiar and different hairstyle then most so i was very concerned about getting it right. I met Jay and he listened to everything i said carefully and most importantly understood it. I showed him a few pics of how i wanted my hair to be. He ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT. The hairstyle came out exactly how i wanted it but wait it was even better because he made some subtle improvements all on his own. The fade was precisely how i wanted it and the scissor work on top was perfect, the top flowed very very well. after this first experience I developed instant trust with Jay. He is professional, timely, courteous, patient and most important he understands hair very well. I am truly glad that I found him. Do not hesitate I highly recommend you to book him and give it a shot you have nothing to lose but more importantly you will be satisfied!!
Had the Unstress Facial at Vernal Skincare in LIC and loved it! My skin felt calmer, hydrated, and noticeably less red right after. The space is clean and relaxing, and the esthetician was super gentle and professional. Highly recommend!!

November 2025 update! I just went last week to get my hair cut again and Nancy did an amazing job with my curly hair! She put layers in that look great curly and straight. I’m loving my new cut and I’m going back for my next hair cut ☺️

I just had the absolute best haircut experience and I had to share it with everyone! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was fantastic. But the real star of the show is Mustafa. He took the time to listen exactly to what I wanted (and what I didn't want!), and offered his expert advice to achieve the perfect style. His attention to detail is incredible, and you can tell he takes real pride in his craft. The haircut itself is phenomenal. It's exactly what I pictured, and even better! Mustafa has a real gift for understanding hair texture and working with it to create a cut that looks fantastic and is easy to manage. If you're looking for a barber who is a true artist, look no further. You won't be disappointed! I'll definitely be back - and I'm recommending him to everyone I know!

This is where we always take our daughter to get her haircut. Rena did a fantastic job with my daughter's big curly hair. They even gave some bubbles to my son (18 mo) who was being fussy while waiting for his sister to be done. The staff here is always kind and patient and the haircuts look great. This is our go-to spot for our kids!

Absolutely fantastic experience with Albert. He corrected my previously poor haircut with an expert hand; top length, side fade, and beard trim were all exactly on point with minimal instructions given. His detail work with the razor was carefully and meticulously handled. And all of that was done within time despite my being late, and for an incredibly reasonable price. I've finally found my barber ??
Great prices but not all manicurists are made alike here. One all but destroyed my nails with the electric rotary file. Since then, I only use Cindy. She does a consistently excellent manicure and keeps my natural nails growing strong. She also put on excellent extensions when the other girl mutilated three nails before I stopped her from ruining more.
I'm very loyal to my usual nail salon, but I desperately needed a powder manicure and decided to try WellShow Nails on 11/18 -- and I'm so glad I did! I was greeted right away, accommodated as a walk-in, and genuinely felt taken care of from start to finish. The salon is cute, spacious, and beautifully decorated with tons of color options. The gentleman at the front even helped start my powder removal while I waited for my technician, which I really appreciated. I also loved the thoughtful touches -- the little silicone stylus so you can use your phone while your nails are soaking, the iPhone stand, and the lotion/scrub treatment at the end because my hands were so dry. My technician was patient, checked in with me throughout, and made sure the color and finish were exactly what I wanted. Two weeks later, my nails are still holding up beautifully, and I especially appreciate that the powder isn't thick -- it looks like my real nails. Even at checkout, the person at the front was kind and helpful, and I appreciated the flexible payment options. The only thing missing is a loyalty program or punch card for return customers -- I'd sign up in a heartbeat!

The reviews are correct - this is a great no frills affordable local spot. New to the area and after travelling a while I was desperate for a proper shampoo & cut. Stylist was attentive and very sweet. Added bonus for me - the store is filled with rodeo merch and fantastic boots. Not sure about walk-ins but I called and she was able to fit me in later that same day. Recommend and will visit again!Service: Haircut

I had such a great experience here, unlike I have ever had at a hair salon. Everyone was so kind and welcoming from the second I walked in. My hair dresser Lamara took time to discuss what I wanted, provided his input on how my hair type would affect certain styles, and coordinated with me on a style that had everything I wanted that would still suit my hair. Best haircut I've ever gotten and will definitely be back for my next.

This review is for face threading: I get my whole face threaded for 20, I've had multiple different threaders due to my crazy schedule I never know when I'll be able to drop in, all 3 have done an excellent job!!! I don't break out- they're all gentle and know what they're doing. No bs, I'm lucky to find a place like this in my neighborhood!
The owner of this establishment does a meticulous job with threading and waxing. I’ve been going here for years. That said, should you get a wax by her apprentice, please make sure the owner is there. I will not be going back when her employee is on staff. A nice girl, but during a wax, she broke skin (photo attached to review), I got burnt, and I also had to help hold skin to keep from further traumatizing the area. She also used a filthy washcloth to wipe down a sensitive area after the wax which was pretty mortifying. I gave this place 4 stars because this is the first bad experience I’ve had in the many years of going. Be sure to get any delicate services done by the owner. I’m laying on my couch with ice on my bits instead of going to the pool as I’d hoped.

They came out to do my gas line inspections for the city Local Law 152. Tiffany in the office has been super helpful and always quick to respond. Phil came out to do the inspections and answered all my questions. Highly recommend them if you need someone reliable and trustworthy.

I was nervous about trusting someone with this rug because it’s not easily replaceable. From the first interaction, I felt comfortable. When the rug was returned, I could immediately tell it had been cleaned properly. The fibers felt softer and the whole rug looked more balanced. It honestly made the room feel better overall.
We were updating the playroom and wanted our flatweave rug cleaned before putting in new furniture. The quote process was smooth, and they were very accommodating with our schedule. They rolled the rug carefully and took it to their facility. A week later, they returned it soft, clean, and completely stain-free even the crayon marks were gone. They laid it back down, and my kids immediately started playing on it again.
Window trim was replicated to match the building’s style from the 1940s. Attention to detail really stood out.

Noticed my cat limping around 7:30 on a Friday night. My regular vet was closed and the emergency vet wait was 3 hours long. I called this office and they told me they could get me right in. Rushed over and quickly felt at ease. Receptionist and nurses were patient despite my anxious rambling. They were gentle and patient with my pet. The doctor was soft spoken and attentive. He took the time to listen to every detail I gave and made me feel heard, validated and reassured during a scary time. Care was swift and they were transparent about cost, process etc and answered every question I had. So grateful that I found this place. Highly recommend!
We are very pleased with our choice of getting a second opinion for our dog Kai. She has a terrible paw infection and with the uncertainty of it, we needed another opinion, more information, more testing and this place gave us just that. The tech, nurse and vet were all fantastic and very patient with my dog since she was nervous throughout the experience, which ended with smiles and a wagging tail. I highly recommend.
I live in NJ, but ever since I found Form and Flow in 2023, I travel to LIC during my holidays just to soak in the good vibes from the instructors and the studio! I’ve been to so many studios in NY, NJ, PA, and Korea, but Form and Flow is truly one of the best I’ve ever experienced—you get to learn authentic yoga and meditation in such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! I’m always so grateful for founder Shelly’s thoughtful accommodations and offerings.
I love Yoga Studio 6! I have been a student of Bert and Alicia's for over 10 years, and a practitioner of yoga for many more. I was so grateful when I found this space. The instructors are well versed in the principles and practice of Iyengar yoga and the studio space is warm and inviting. Not only has my practice improved tremendously at Studio 6, but I have gained a warm and supportive community of friends and fellow yoga practitioners. I can't recommend this studio highly enough!
