“One of my son's eyes suddenly started turning in and I panicked and was desperate to find someone who could correct it. Despite having a developmental optometrist in the next town over, I opted to take him to see Dr. Wolman which was a 40 minute drive from my house because she had so much experience and positive reviews. It was clear to me from the start that she was very knowledgeable about how to correct the issue as well as correcting the visual acuity issue that caused it. During the first visit, she found that the prescription that he had been given was not even the correct one for his vision and made sure that we changed it to the correct one. In addition, I had never heard about myopia management contacts before and it had not been even mentioned by the first optometrist that I took him to. I was skeptical about contacts for an 11 year-old boy but she assured me that it was the right move and that we should at least try them. I am glad that I listened. His vision has remained stable since we started with her more than a year ago. In addition, he did vision therapy with her to correct his eye that was turning and it is now completely corrected, which is a huge relief. Because of our good experience, I also took my other son there for his annual exam and she found that his prescription was too strong for him. I love that once she determines what the appropriate prescription is, she creates a temporary version of the glasses to try and then tests vision again to ensure that they are good. We will now be bringing both of our kids there for their exams despite the long drive because I trust Dr. Wolman and I want to be sure that their eyes are getting the best care possible. If you want the best eye care for your kids, bring them to see her (and she also sees adults too)! You won't be sorry!”
