“Zach is absolutely BRILLIANT! I have a historic 1880s home and the tub had stopped up. I had tried everything DIY I could to get it going, but no luck. Zach came the day after I called, snaked 100' feet out and discovered A DIFFERENT LEAK which had been rotting the plywood above my pantry. He was able to replace the old, leaky pipes with PVC until the seals were nice and tight, and then found the source of the tub backup, which had been a long time accumulation of sediment. He fixed it, tested it, and even cleaned the tub afterwards, so it's ready for bathing again! The price was very reasonable for 2.5 hours of work. I also love that they are local and not a chain. From now on, Zach is my go-to for all things plumbing! Thanks Zach and Easton Dylan!“

They fixed our boiler and got my family and I heat on a very cold winter day, were personable and professional. Their bill was very detailed so we could submit to insurance and their prices seemed reasonable. Highly recommend!“

“Had a new Ruud two stage AC installed by NE, just on the cusp of the latest heat dome.. Price was reasonable ( I know what the equipment costs and they use a normal hourly charge for this area). Tyler got me proposals very quickly with cut sheets I asked for. The two fellows who did the install work were friendly, worked diligently, even in the heat (!), and answered all my questions . Installation was neatly done. People at the office were friendly and responsive. I hope the new AC unit is reliable but only time can tell.“

“I had 2 other companies come to my house and made a mess of my ac units. They had no clue what they where doing. I called bold refrigeration and Steve cam out and fixed there mess and in a couple hours I had ice cold air coming out of my 4 mini split heads. I'm glad I called them. Great job Steve. “My furnace was not working last weekend. I called twice to request for emergency service. The operator was very pleasant. The office manager explained to me the price for house call is $219.00 plus additional expenses if the technician discovered the diagnostic. I have been a customer at Holbrook since 2012. This is the first year that the staff at Holbrook was very rude in explaining the emergency call. The temperature dropped to -0.00 which is code Blue according to NYS Dept of of Emergency.

I have no heat and no where to go. The dispatcher had refused to send a technician to my house until I agreed to give her the credit card number. The tech showed up at my house 8 am on Saturday morning. I have discovered around 5 pm then I have no heat again. I placed an emergency call, the staff repeated the price of $219.00 for emergency call. I explained to her that I am under the warranty for 30 days. The second tech showed up at my house at 7:30 pm. The tech said that I need some new air vent inflow. I scheduled an appt for furnace maintenance on Monday 2/9/2026, the maintenance tech was great. He had discovered the problem of my furnace.

I would like your company to know that I had appreciated your service, but please kindness and courtesy would be greatly appreciated instead of threating me for not calling your tech to fix my furnace. If it is any other times, I would not complain. You do know that this is Code Blue and you need to keep the customers safe with the heat on and instead the lady told me to find a place to stay. I would like to file a complain against the office manager for making this comment. The whole incident happened on 1/31/2026. My expenses are around $800.00.

Can you tell the manager to be more compassion and this is her job to help the customer stay safe at their house during the Code Blue tragedy.“

Over the years, they've installed an oil heater, two or three water heaters, replaced pipes and always responded promptly to any request. Jay and Alex have been great whenever we had a problem. Their oil and service rates are usually better than the competition - commendable for a full-service company. I would highly recommend them.“

He walked me through several options for installing a new HVAC system and was a very helpful with selecting the right one and navigating the New York State clean heat rebate process. He saved me money and the system has been running great through the winter and my gas bill has been MUCH lower than the old system. Highly recommend!“

“This review is about the excellent customer service that I received when I stopped by the store today. I was looking for a retro refrigerator that I saw online and couldn't find at my local store. In fact, my local store told me that there were none at any Home Depot stores. I decided to stop by the Latham store anyway. There were 2 display models for sale. Zack helped me with the fridge. He dusted it down and when I realized that the second model looked better (from the front), but was missing the handles, Zack and another employee, got out their tools, took the handles off of one and screwed them on to the other. When we pulled the second one out we realized that it was badly dented in the back. I apologized to Zack for doing all of that work for nothing and he let me know that it wasn't a problem. That is what he was there for. He then proceeded to call around to see if other stores had what I was looking for and he found exactly what I was looking for at another Home Depot. I don't know if Zack, or any of the other employees who helped me today will ever see this but, for everyone else who does, this is how a store should run. This is customer service at it's BEST! Thank you“
