“The compressor in one of my built-in units broke during the hottest week of summer in August 2021. Most companies needed a week before they could even schedule an initial visit but Performance was able to get someone there the next day. When the new compressor was ordered they warned that due to COVID it could take as long as 5-8 weeks to get one shipped out. However Gus the owner called in less than two weeks and told me he had been able to find one. So far so good but there was a problem with the installation and the unit was making a lot of noise according to my super (I was away). And what was exceptional to me was that Gus phoned me on Friday night (this is still August, probably the busiest month for AC service people) and sent repairman back to my apartment late that Friday night and they even returned again on Saturday with an additional part so that when I returned on Sunday night all was working. Gus and the guys at Performance Mechanical really cared and went out their way to get my AC working. Would recommend them highly--not because it went perfectly--but they were responsive and quickly addressed the problems. Mostly because they cared and knew if they didn't fix it I'd be coming back to a very hot apartment.”
