I came home from Florida to a freezing house. Ricky Tynes of Tangora Heating, Cooling,and Energy, came in to save the day. The system was shot. He came on Thursday night, the night I called, which was one of the coldest nights of the year and installed a new heating system in a day. I called other companies who let me know they could come the next day or the following Monday. One company told me they couldn't come unless my driveway was free of ice, salted and sanded. This was after an ice storm. Ricky and his crew did an excellent job. They were friendly, efficient and cleaned up completely after themselves. They got the heat back on quickly. My son has received incredible instruction at Dewey's Martial Arts Academy. The training cadre are the best. Each Instructor is impressive and professional. They are all very proficient at training and teaching the art of Karate to all ages and experience levels.
All I can say is wow! I have always been really nervous about getting a facial because I have sensitive skin. I thought I would walk out of there with red blotchy, irritated skin and boy was I wrong. My skin hasn’t looked this great or been this smooth in I don’t know how long. I definitely will be returning probably on a monthly basis. I would also like to add that as soon as you walk in the door you feel a sense of calmness. The colors, the decor and the music make it such a relaxing atmosphere. Not to mention Erica herself has a calming demeanor. She was very sweet and professional. I highly recommend this place. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
I just moved to Delmar and needed a local optician to get my contacts prescription and refill. I was very impressed with the whole team. Very quick and easy to get an appointment, quick and easy “onboarding”, less than two minutes wait when I arrived for the appointment, and the doc was very friendly, kept me fully informed the whole time I was there. My new prescription is probably the best I’ve ever had, and … there was no attempt at “Upselling.’ We’ve all gone through it - you get there (not just in health care) and they try to sell you everything under the sun. Not at Hughes opticians. In fact, the doc recommended against certain things given my eyes and my prescription.
Stated differently I felt like the whole team cared about me and my eyes, not just on a sale. I will DEFINITELY go back.
I’ve moved a lot and had to switch eye doctors a lot. At the last one I was at in another state, it was like an assembly line…and they added every fee they could.. in fact, they charged a $35 dollar “fitting fee”. And there was nothing to fit! My contacts had to be specially ordered, and when they arrived they just handed them to me and sent me on my way. So why the $35 fitting fee? Precisely.
Not at Hughes…pricing was very straightforward - when I was checking out I actually asked the person helping me:“are you sure you calculated that correctly?!?” The price for the exam and one year’s worth of contacts just seemed way lower than I’ve paid before! And no fitting fee!

We have many realtors in our life but something told me to go with Don Smith, after meeting him on a of couple occasions. Not sure if it was his amicable professionalism or his attention to detail but we decided to have him and his team list our house. I’d forgotten just how much is involved in listing and selling a house, but Don had all the documents sent and coordinated all the prep work in record time. Within 24 hours of having our house listed, we had our first offer. 2 days later 61 groups attended the Open House. It could not have been any easier or faster. Dave Testo and company did an excellent job installing a patio and sidewalk, clearing brush to extend our backyard lawn space and hydroseeding (including topsoil, mulch and river stone). He also installed low voltage lighting all around our property that looks great, but is subtle thanks to Dave's recommendations. Dave was a pleasure to work with and his crew was on time, professional and friendly while working during a particularly hot period during the summer of 2022. He also recommended a sprinkler company that did a great job rerouting and adding sprinkler zones. I would hire Pearl Landscaping again! Thank you Dave and Pearl Landscaping!

Dom listens and cuts your hair the way you ask. He asked if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed and did a good job. His hair cutting is high quality and his prices are low - he charges just $10 for a hair cut with no additional charge for eyebrow trimming. I leave a good tip because I think his prices are too low. Excellent value. Dom is back from some surgery and ready to accept customers. The barbershop is located behind BLISS Cafe & Creamery on Delaware Ave in Delmar.

Tina is absolutely wonderful! I’ve spent thousands of dollars on laser hair removal that only made it worse, and after one session with Tina I saw a huge difference! She makes you feel so comfortable and is very professional. Great location with easy parking. Wish I found her sooner! Would highly recommend.
Getting my hair done with Jen Karius was truly a treat. Her salon is quiet and quaint, with natural and earthy touches creating a much-needed retreat from life's busyness. Jen took the time to discuss all of my wants and needs and incorporated my lifestyle into her hair cut and color choices to provide me with manageable and easy day-to-day maintenance. But by far the absolute BEST part was the scalp massage and deep conditioning treatment, OMG I never wanted it to end! I left feeling invigorated, stress free, and ready to show off my new look I am still loving my cut and color, can't say enough amazing things about Jen and my experience at Classic Trends Hair Design!!

I had a fantastic experience with RV Danza Plumbing. We had recently closed on a house and there was a mysterious clog in one of the sinks. I called and Bob was able to come over and snake through 20+ feet of pipes to find the issue. Professional and fast. Courteous over the phone with excellent communication. He even left us a "welcome to the neighborhood" gift. I'll be calling them again for any future plumbing needs!

Many people will describe doing a home renovation as a stressful experience. Working with Craig and Jerry made this experience wonderful.From the start, Jerry helped us with the planning process and was responsive to any and all questions we had (we had a lot). We had received quotes from other companies, but what made C&J stand apart is the type of work they do. You can really tell they stay on the cutting edge of design and that they take pride in their work. With C&J the sky is the limit. If you want to achieve a look, they will help your vision come alive.Throughout the process we knew exactly what to expect. The communication was absolutely amazing. We were provided beginning of the week updates of the work that would be done. We didn't have to stress about work being left incomplete or people not showing up.C&J gets very skilled subcontractors. The electricrician, drywaller, plumber, tiler and painter all worked diligently and did superb work. Craig was often on site to make sure the project stayed on track and that things were done right at every stage from framing to finishing.Craig is also a master carpenter. Craig was able to build us a pocket barn door, shelving and a seating area with built-ins. His skills were truly invaluable to us and helped to create a custom finish throughout our space.Lastly, C&J stands behind their work. If something is not right, they will make it right. Overall, I couldn't imagine ever going with any other company for a home renovation.

everyone at this practice was kind patient and professional. Having severe dental anxiety, I found the hygienist the receptionist as well as the checkout person to all be patient and kind. The dentist took a look at me and came up with a plan. The hygienist then took the time to explain the plan which helped me understand why this was the best plan for me. I'm very happy so far with my first visit at first advantage Bethlehem
Called for an appt for my dog. Was seen the same day. They had done a physical exam, had drawn blood, ran some tests, send us home with some meds. Wasn't too pricey. Had to come back for additional tests. In and out,no stress to my dog. They called a day later to check on her and either later that day or two days later with the results. Everyone is super friendly, they explain everything and are patient.
Our family is so thankful that we found this vet practice, and the kind people that are this practice. Dr. Estra, Jen, and Allison are kind, compassionate, and caring individuals. They really do care about you and your pet. Our two cats are patients of the practice, and recently, one of our cats (she was 17 years old), began having some issues. It was a very hard decision to say goodbye to her, but a very kind, loving, and compassionate decision. Dr. Estra really took the time to explain everything, in detail, to me and my daughter. She let us take all the time we needed to make our decision, and then let us take all the time we needed to be with our cat. We were not rushed. It was not treated like a business transaction. We were treated like family. Our cat was very loved and she was shown respect, dignity, and love. We received a lovely card from Dr. Estra, and she showed us again what a kind and compassionate person she is, not just our vet. Would not hesitate to recommend her and her practice to anyone.

I had an appointment for a deep tissue hot stone massage with Jeanette Brewer. I have had many professional massages over the years and have come to be cautious about my expectations. To say that my massage with Jeanette was the absolute best massage I have ever had just doesn't do it justice. The experience was nothing short of transcendent... so much so that I actually cried as I described it to my husband afterward. As I told Jeanette while I was leaving, it was everything I've wanted every massage I have ever had to be but never was.
My only feedback for Breathe is to consider some better sound proofing, increase the white noise in massage rooms, or maybe ask that patrons speak softly when in the main areas. I definitely found myself getting a little wrenched out of the meditative experience of the massage when the office phone would ring or other clients were in the main space chatting, as I could hear entire conversations. Also, I had some difficulty finding the building after dark - a light illuminating the sign outside may be helpful.
