“During one of the most difficult times our family has faced, Chapey & Sons Funeral Home in West Islip provided my niece and me with a level of care, compassion, and kindness that we will never forget.

From the moment we began making arrangements for my brother’s services, we never felt as though we were simply working with a funeral home. They treated us like family. Every interaction was warm, personal, respectful, and sincere. They guided us through every decision with patience and understanding and made an incredibly difficult process feel a little less overwhelming.

What touched us most were the thoughtful details that went far beyond anything we expected. Knowing that we would have family and friends gathering at my home between the two viewings, they sent me home with a beautiful platter of cookies for my guests. For the trip to the cemetery, they even prepared individual goodie bags for everyone, complete with water, a cupcake, and hand wipes. “In the total chaos that an unexpected death can entail, James Funeral Home went above and beyond all expectations. From the moment we walked in, just hours after my moms passing, we were greeted with empathy and compassion. Kristy was our director.
