From the first encounter, less than 24 hours after my husband died, everyone at Chapey were caring and supportive. They helped me navigate a sorrowful experience which helped me plan a memorable memorial to my husband’s life. Then they go above and beyond and invite me to a presentation tonight called “ Reimagining the Holidays After Loss”. This was a truly beautiful experience that went beyond providing ideas to manage through the holiday season. Wow, wow, and wow! I have never had to deal w/ a funeral home personally, but when my father passed away recently, let me tell you what Chapey does. Between the viewings, they knew that everyone was coming back to my house for dinner, so they handed me a tray of chocolate covered pretzels to serve! Before we headed to the cemetary the next day, they handed everyone a bag of bottled water, a muffin, and an antiseptic wipe. Then, when it was all finished at the cemetary, Derek stood outside until every single car was gone. Our uncle recently passed away and my sister and I were lost on how we start. We knew we wanted Chapey's but figured we would just call and get an idea on what to do next. The Chapey's staff that answered the phones and our funeral director April guided us through everything start to finish, even with things outside of the wake and funeral. Things we were lost on being that we never had to plan and take care of these things for anyone else before. April was extremely informative and compassionate during this time.
