“Holy cow! I don't know HOW my sister and I could have done the clean-up without the amazing ITS Environmental team.<br><br>My 86-year-old mom contracted Hantavirus in the fall and almost died from it. Through that process, we discovered that mice had moved into their garage, basement and attic and made a nice home for themselves. The challenge was that those areas all had generations' worth of family furniture and keepsakes, STUFFED to the brim.<br><br>Because some of the mice evidently exposed my mom to their Hantavirus (this is what Gene Hackman's wife died from last year!), we needed to empty everything from the attic, basement and garage, dispose of any contaminated contents and wipe down the rest with a product that disinfected EVERY SINGLE ITEM. Let me just tell you, it was a BIG job! We filled up three 30-yard dumpsters and put another 121 large, sealed bins back in the house!<br><br>The first three days, my sister and I joked around with the ITS team as we went through hundreds of boxes, one by one. The last two days were harder because we were going through boxes that contained more emotional and meaningful content. The team was so incredibly caring and supportive throughout this process. Each person on the team worked SO HARD with us all day long for five long days. They even paused to appreciate some of the meaningful items we uncovered, which helped our overwhelmed hearts.<br><br>This was definitely not a project we expected to face, and it was notably stressful, but their professionalism, care, and work ethic throughout were a true gift. Doug was our first point of contact, was incredibly responsive and thorough in answering our billions of questions. Eric, the manager on-site, was consistently steps ahead in planning for the next phases of the project and worked so incredibly hard all five days. I don't even know how he managed to stand at the end of each day! And his sense of humor was right up our alley:-) John was caring, professional and helpful, and worked so hard, as well. We could not have asked for a better team to come in and help us navigate a most challenging situation, bringing warmth, a can-do attitude, and immense experience handling this kind of situation. If you find yourself needing professional help to address a serious accumulation of possessions, a tendency to hold on to things, and/or clean up contaminated areas, these are absolutely the people to call! I can't recommend them enough.”
