“Dr. Redder is truly a godsend. I’m beyond grateful for her and the whole staff at Killewald. My 4m old golden doodle ate a sock and after spending hours at the Emergency vet down the road (1/14/24) I was being told my dog will die if I don’t get the sock out of him and nothing other than surgery could help, except it was a Sunday and a holiday weekend so I didn’t have access to 10k cash. I had to wait overnight and I called Killewald at 7:01am (1/15/24) and begged them to help. They were so kind, helpful, and reassuring. They said they can get my pup in for surgery at 8am. We were there and my puppy was acting like a puppy again, so we did more X-rays and turned out the sock had moved. Dr. Redder was so amazing and removed the sock and within hours my pup was able to come back home. I couldn’t be more grateful for the staff being so supportive and understand. They will truly do what’s best for your pet at all times. Thank you so much ?❣️ “

“I am so happy with ASAH! Dr. Stein and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and kind. I am a nurse practitioner and I am very picky about my dogs care. I have been to 4 different veterinary clinics in both Amherst and the southtowns trying to find a good fit. I have found it! My dog, Hazel, got an ovary sparing spay and also her umbilical hernia fixed. I was able to see the OR which is immaculate.The surgery went very well and Hazel showed no signs of pain. She healed up very nicely. I will be transferring her care and my cats care to Dr. Stein. In my years as an animal lover I have never been able to find a vet who was consistent and took their time with me and my animals…rest assured I have found this in ASAH!“

The vet tech Meg and veterinarian, Dr. Herr were great handling my dog who can get anxious and reactive at the vet.Dr. Herr took time to explain his concerns and did a very thorough examination.These people clearly care about animals.“

Doctor Parkhill is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and many other things, but she will also tell you the facts so you know exactly what you need to know to care for your animal properly . Many many times she has stayed after hours to not only squeeze myself in but others. When we had to put our Diamond girl down, my husband was so distraught. She made myself and my husband so at ease. She gave us all the time we needed and made sure the office was quiet during our time.Doc Parkhill also saved our CoCo with a full mastectomy. She was a rescue who was bred way too young. If it wasn’t for her catching the tiny lump, it would have possibly developed into breast cancer. Thank you Doc Parkhill for all you do. Your passion for you job truly shows.“
