“Having to work out the services arrangements for a funeral given the circumstances is a horrible thing to be doing but Dan made this a very supportive experience. He was very informative and transparent in the process.

I had to go through the arrangements last month and it was very difficult but this location was very convenient, the services were financially friendly, and the entire process was seamless. Dan is very accommodating to whatever you need to help you through this time.

There is also a room on the side which was very helpful for people to be in and out of - it was peaceful as the entire place is to yourself so it feels more intimate during such a horrible grieving process. Thanks to Dan and his team it was a little easier.“

I had to orchestrate her funeral from 1000 miles away and they were kind, helpful and always available when I called. They made recommendations for the florist and the repast (Basking Ridge Country Club) which greatly exceeded my expectations. When I lost the cremation certificate the night before the burial--and you can't inter ashes without it--Mike Galaway took my panicked call at 9 pm on a Sunday night and told me he'd get me a duplicate first thing in the morning and to not worry. They came through for me and our internment at 10 am at a cemetery in Staten Island was completed as planned. The service was executed exactly as I hoped, the flowers were gorgeous, the food at the repast was excellent and most of all, my mother was treated with dignity and respect. I have nothing but high praise for these outstanding and dedicated professionals.“

“This is a pretty small but incredibly beautiful church. Both of my nephews were baptized here in intimate family gatherings. I've never attended an actual Catholic mass here, but I can't say enough about the ornate detailing and serene atmosphere. The grounds outside are nice to sit in before and after, with a little stream and bridge over top.“

He is not interred there, but on two separate occasions they have graciously helped me, both with placing his ashes in an urn I had purchased, and then later with re-opening the urn to place some small mementos inside it. My initial call to the main telephone number was received by someone who answered with respectful questions about how they could be of service. I told them we were in Florida and wanted to keep my Mommy with me forever. I was informed that it was not possible, but they definitely could bring my Mommy back from Florida without a problem. Low and behold, COOL was back in NJ in no time. Plinton-Curry made contact to a minimum but completed all tasks beyond exceptional: the care of the body, contract for arrangements, programs including an online link on the day of the services, a day before viewing, and Homegoing Service, and calls afterward to check in on our family and to see if we need anything, even way after the bill was satisfied. “I recently visited Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy, NJ, and it left a lasting impression on me. This cemetery, which has been around since the 1920s, is beautifully maintained. The grounds are clean, peaceful, and full of quiet reflection.

I came as a stranger, hoping to find the grave of my best friend who rests there. The kindness and dedication I received from the staff went far beyond what I expected. Marie in the office and Troy, the groundskeeper, personally helped me locate his resting place and made me feel cared for during the entire visit.

Being able to stand there in the calm and serenity of Alpine Cemetery gave me a moment with my friend that I will always carry in my heart. It was quiet, peaceful, and deeply meaningful.

Although I was not involved in any burial planning or arrangements, the compassion and professionalism of the staff alone would make me recommend Alpine Cemetery to anyone seeking a resting place for their loved ones.

I will certainly return to visit my friend again. I’ve promised myself that each time I do, I’ll stop by to see Marie and the team to say thank you for all they’ve done.

PS - I see all the one star reviews mainly about the cemetery removing things people made or left for their loved ones and want to tell them…find a cemetery that DOESN’T have the same policy. ALL of the ones I have ever been in, including the one with my 12 person family plot, does the same thing. Do you expect them to leave everything there, and then complain about the site being over grown? Face reality people as the workers at Alpine are just trying to maintain and keep the grounds as manicured as possible and that’s is not uncommon or odd for a cemetery to do, versus your outlandish expectations which are not realistic.“
