“I have been going to Plainfield Animal Hospital for years. I had a cat that needed to be put down. A very hard decision for me to make. When I called my vet on a Wednesday the woman told me she couldn't give an appointment til Friday. This was so unacceptable. They wanted my cat to suffer for two days. I called Piscataway Animal Clinic and they took me that very day. Not even knowing my cat they treated him with so much kindness and compassion. In his time of need they were there for him. Isn't that what Vets are suppose to do. Thank you.“

“I found a cat in the street a couple months ago that looked like she needed quick attention so took her straight here to get her looked at and checked for a microchip. The staff and Dr. Murtha were super nice and very helpful, and since she wasn't microchipped I decided to keep her. The office helped me set up her checkup appointments to get her vaccines and eventually get spayed. The surgery went smooth and she healed up quickly and now she's looking so much healthier and happier than ever. A big thank you to Dr. Murtha and the staff.“

“It's a very friendly and warm atmosphere! There was actually no plan for me to join the last appointment for my pet cat, as another family member tends to bring him, so I was very appreciative of the vet taking time out to speak to me. My cat has diabetes and seems to have some sort of gastric issues, and I was able to discuss these concerns while doing just routine blood work.

When a large dog needed to come out, one of the techs brought my cat out of sight so he wouldn't get scared, and also chatted with me. There are also pamphlets near the desk with information, including about pet insurance that they take. It was overall enjoyable.

The facility is also clean, with some seating, and both stairs and a ramp for access. Though the door is not automatic, it is also not heavy. I did not utilize the restroom, so no notes on accessibility of that at this time.“

“Dr. Shendell and her team always go above and beyond for our fur babies. We have been through atleast four vets before we came across Dr. Shendell & Dr. Weltner. Both are great, kind and caring veterinarians! My wife and I are both nurses and let me tell you, these guys are the best that we've been to in Jersey so far (location wise). Dr. Shendell and Dr. Mooney did surgery twice on my 21 year old alien baby (Biff). They gave us an extension with him for which I am forever grateful. DO NOT second guess yourself or the people here! They are awesome and my wife and I will NEVER stop coming here.....unless we move...or get abducted by my new boy's alien family...Shhh...don't tell the Feds!“

My dog Bella has had bad experience with Veterinarians in the past but with Jason’s experience with her breed and size (Pitbull) she and I are at ease with her care! Happy Pets has become the pitbull/bully hospital in the area because of Jason!! Happy Pets lives up to its name!!!!“

“What an incredible bunch of people. We brought our kitten in to be neutered and the staff were so helpful. We never felt like we were being rushed. Everything was explained to us, from the moment we got there to the time we would be back to pick him up.
The first animal hospital I've been to that didn't smell like a giant litter box full of wet dogs.
If you have a choice, I highly recommend making the people at Plainfield Animal Hospital a part of your pets life. You won't be disappointed.

“Dr Weltner has taken care of my cockapoo the last 15 years and I believe he has been so healthy due to Dr Welter's wonderful care.“

“The staff are very sweet and my dog and I were very comfortable with the vet. I’m a first time dog owner with a two year old cockapoo. Our previous vet shamed me for not wanting to spay her and give certain vaccinations. The vet here assured me that spaying her is not necessary and we set up a schedule to do minimal vaccinations that I felt comfortable with. He also gave us a recipe to start her on a real food diet which the previous vet told me to only feed dry kibble which I felt wasn’t healthy. Overall, I am very happy to have found them and feel my dog is in the best of hands! I just wish I found them sooner. Prices are reasonable, no upselling“
