Really tough clog that took a few hours, and couple different approaches, but they did not give up and got the job done. Drain flows better than I have ever seen. “We had an emergency with our sink and garbage disposal, and, to make matters worse, it was during Memorial Day weekend.<br><br>Redding's was able to coordinate holiday / overnight emergency service.<br><br>Our plumber Stephen was excellent in all facets of the job. He called me back 15 minutes after the answering service took my call. He explained both the after-hours cost structure, and a likely time estimate related to that. He was candid, transparent, and wholly committed to making sure that I was informed before he put in the work order.<br><br>Stephen's communication style before and during the job was exemplary: he kept me appraised of his arrival time (we're in Princeton and he was coming from New Brunswick), and got all the details he needed from me to make sure he got the right tools at the shop.<br><br>The clog turned out to be a more involved job that originally thought, and it was only because Stephen brought the kind of tools (bigger, more powerful snake, etc.) that he thought he might need that he could fix the drain and disposal that night. His thoughtfulness and preparedness in getting the right gear was essential.<br><br>Stephen was a pro, and a super nice guy too. He explained the underlying issues behind the clog, and set up the system to work fine for the foreseeable future. My two young sons were *fascinated* by the evening's events and Stephen was really kind to answer their questions about his tools and how they worked.<br><br>Redding's was great -- they always are, we've used them many times -- and it's clear that Stephen is toward the top tier of their team.”

“My water heater unexpectedly stopped working after 10.5 years so I called Abat Plumbing. Frank answered my call at 7:45 AM and came out the very same morning to inspect the unit.<br><br>Frank determined that the error code indicated a weak ignition, but the replacement part was not in stock and could take a few days to arrive. He was able to temporarily reactivate the water heater and honestly explained that, given its age, replacement would be the best long-term solution. He also identified a few rustic water pipe which needs to be replaced.<br><br>We decided to move forward with the replacement, and Frank's son, Frank Jr., installed the new water heater that same day. While working in the basement, Frank Jr. noticed that our AC system was leaking. He pointed it out to us without charging anything extra. We contacted the company that installed our AC three years ago, and they sent a technician two days later to fix the issue.<br><br>I am very grateful to Frank and Frank Jr. for their professionalism, honesty, and excellent service. They responded quickly, completed the work promptly, and even helped us identify another problem before it became a bigger issue. I highly recommend Abat Plumbing!”
