“A few months ago, I was referred to Kresloff by my neurologist just to ensure my vision was okay due to some ongoing issues. Everyone at Kresloff was incredibly kind, and I felt comfortable with each individial I interacted with.
Dr. Arnold viewed my eyes and noticed I had some floaters, and just to be safe, referred me to Mid Atlantic Retina. There, I was told that I had holes forming in my retina, and had the floaters not been spotted, I would have started going blind in 6-12 months. I seriously cannot thank Dr. Arnold and everyone at Kresloff enough for being so nice, and for not brushing anything by. This place is wonderful!!!“

“Confession time: I tried to 'cheat' on The Optical Shoppe with a new doctor for the sake of convenience. Spoiler alert: it was not convenient, and I came running back!

I’ve been a loyal customer here since the Dr. Finch days and the era of the incredibly cool Dave. Even though Dave has retired and his wonderful daughter Jamie now runs the business from behind the scenes, you can absolutely still feel their standards living on through the staff.

I walked in fresh from my 'bad breakup' with that other place, and Lex immediately swung into action. She actually repaired my old glasses on the spot (new nose pads and a tighten-up) so I had something to wear while waiting for my order. Then she whisked me over to the contact lens specialist (I am mortified that I forgot your name—please forgive me, I promise to get it right when I pick up my order!) and then to Kim, their amazing Optician.

I ended up going all in: transition lenses with new frames AND prescription sunglasses. The whole experience reminded me why I loved interacting with Dave all those years ago.
Lesson learned: You can’t put a price on this kind of care. This is why supporting local, family-owned businesses is so important. I’m back for good!“

“They are amazing at Snyder opticians. I’ve never had an eye glass shop as thorough or oriented towards their clientele. I came in asking for help soldering wire frames that broke. They first offered to do it for me (for a much lower price than other locations, $40 instead of $150 ish at other spots). When I went to have them do it, they looked at my glasses and saw it wouldn’t be ideal, gave me a tip to find new glasses replacements for a discounted rate, and then did all the adjustments. They’re just kind generous people. And to top it off have a great eye for aesthetic and high quality glasses. The best“

The staff is tremendously friendly and made me feel safe and welcome, as a queer trans guy. The office is clean and beautiful and in a great space. Dr. Stauble himself was a delight, cracked enough jokes to make me feel comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable - thoroughly explained everything to me and made me feel great about my decision to get checked out.

“I was recommended by my friend to come here to do the CRT lenses. I thought might as well give it a try since it does prevent my eyesight from getting worse.

When I went in for the checkups, the doctor was very professional and very friendly. He explained to me more about the CRT lenses, the benefits, and what will happen after I start wearing them. He was also very patient and showed me how to put on the contacts.

Personally, I feel like the CRT lenses were really effective and now I can go about my day without wearing my glasses.

“Went here the day before leaving for a two-week trip to South Korea because I planned on buying glasses overseas where prices are a lot better. When I first called, the earliest appointment available that worked with my insurance was in July. I figured I was out of luck, but the staff were incredibly kind and actually called me back when an opening became available so they could squeeze me in before my trip. I was so grateful.

The exam itself was very thorough. Unlike some places I've been where parts of the visit are done virtually, I saw an actual doctor who took the time to do a complete eye exam, including dilation and a full evaluation. It felt like real healthcare rather than being rushed through an appointment just to sell glasses.

I also really appreciated how clean and professional everything was. They still have a lot of their infection-control practices in place, including hand sanitizing when you enter and cleaning frames after people try them on. As someone who notices those details, I loved seeing that level of care.

My only challenge wasn't really their fault. I have a gigantic head 😂 so finding frames that both fit comfortably and look good on my face is always an adventure. I didn't have much luck finding the perfect pair this time, but that's a problem I run into pretty much everywhere.

Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Friendly staff, thorough care, and a clinic that genuinely felt focused on patients first and eyewear sales second. I'd happily come back.“
