“I highly recommend Hugo as a professional dog trainer. He trained my pitbull who was deaf & did an amazing job with him. Back in November I rescued a Cane Corso who was extremely aggressive and reactive. But through the proper obedience training & personal protection and bite work he completely transformed him into an extremely well behaved dog. I can take him anywhere in public and even the mall off leash he’s really amazing. Our next step is to introduce him into the dog sport of PSA“

He is honest, professional, knowledgeable, and humorous which we appreciated greatly. “I recently took my puppy for grooming. It's my first time as a pet owner so i wasn't sure even what kind of cut to get. My puppy cut came out great because of britnany and i was so thankful because last cut they left her looking like a mole rat. There was one employee that really took her time to explain to me a couple of things and i told her my dog breath sometimes is so bad and she doesn't like greenies. She showed me drops in the store & just gave me pointers on keeping her fur coat white. I can google tiktok and search for pointers but her taking the time to explain & help me understand certain things without rushing really meant a lot and put me at ease. I wish i knew her name. “First time going to this location it seemed like the staff love animals, went in for an emergency checkup and was seen very quickly. Very nice location with options of treats, toys, and medicine for my kittens. The vet that saw my kittens was as friendly as can be, even providing a lot of caretaking tips that I didn’t know. “Mr. Rosa is the absolute best!!! Hands down!!!! He trained my stubborn Rottie, Harley, (God rest her soul) in 1 weeks time and now my 2 absolutely crazy pittie mixes. He trained them in 1 hour. “This was our first visit with our little budgie named chirpy. She’s afraid of everyone. However, when Dr. E held her she was so calm. He has a wonderful connection with animals. He is kind and gives you choices through his recommendations of how to help your pet. Dr. E called back several times the days following our visit to check on chirpy and her progress. “After many visits to Arlington Dog and Cat hospital, they have been very consistent in being a clean, friendly and an accommodating environment. The support staff are very nice and always take the time to speak with me and listen to my concerns. The Veterinarians on staff are all very knowledgeable and take the time to address the issue. The prices are the prices. Arlington D&C is relatively affordable considering the cost of pet healthcare.“

“My furchild is very discerning when it comes to people. He hadn't had the best experience with a vet, and I am so thankful to have found West Orange Animal Hospital. He fell in love, at first sight, with the vet techs and Dr. Dick! He was comfortable lying on the floor with his head on the vet tech's lap. “Fido Fidelis has truly made me a better person and a better dog owner—this review is long overdue. It’s a long one, but worth the read.

We started working with Fido Fidelis in 2022, and Pete has been training our dogs for nearly four years. His specialty is working with “challenging” dogs—those who are human-reactive, dog-reactive, struggle with separation anxiety, and more. Simply put, he is the best in the business.

Pete is fantastic with puppy training and general behavior work. He helped train our blue heeler/schnauzer mix puppy in just two weeks and played a crucial role in helping our high-energy pup successfully integrate into our family. But his impact didn’t stop there.

Our older dog, Rio (a pit mix), had a difficult past—she was attacked as a puppy by a resource-guarding dog at a dog park, which made her reactive around other dogs. For over a year, we worked with Pete to help her tolerate others, knowing she didn’t need to love every dog, but needed to coexist peacefully. When we decided to rescue our second dog, Bailey, in June 2023, Pete was our very first call.

He not only refreshed Rio’s foundational training but thoughtfully used that process—alongside Bailey’s training—to help Rio understand that Bailey was a friend, not a threat. Within weeks, the two became inseparable. They now play, cuddle, and genuinely enjoy each other’s company—something we once weren’t sure was possible.

Even more impressive, Rio has begun forming positive relationships with other dogs. With Pete’s guidance, we’ve taken things slowly and intentionally, and she’s now comfortable with select dogs. We’ve even started fostering, which would have been unimaginable before working with him.

So how does Pete do it?

His approach is incredibly well-rounded. He doesn’t just train dogs—he trains owners. He uses a balanced, thoughtful methodology (including the four quadrants of training), tailoring his approach to each individual dog and household. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution here—Pete meets you and your dog exactly where you are.
