Pet boarding/training near Livingston

“Been bringing my pup here since 2023. Our dog is not the most social girl so we were nervous bringing her into a daycare/ boarding setting. One of the things that stood out to me about Barker Lounge is that after their initial assessment/ orientation, they’ll let you know if your dog is a good fit for the group play and they have a cute online platform called BarkBack that will give you updates while your dog is boarded with them. We left for Hawaii for 2 weeks and I can confidently say that the highlight of my trip was the BarkBack updates 🤣✨ Their Instagram page is also well maintained which I am appreciative of. Facilities seem well kept and they have a groomer now so you can take your pup home smelling fresh. 12/10 would recommend to a friend. Prices are comparable to other doggy daycares.“

“My furchild is very discerning when it comes to people. He hadn't had the best experience with a vet, and I am so thankful to have found West Orange Animal Hospital. He fell in love, at first sight, with the vet techs and Dr. Dick! He was comfortable lying on the floor with his head on the vet tech's lap. Dr. Dick was gentle informative, thorough and made sure my dog was comfortable with each step. WOAH clearly has a love for animals and a deep respect for the people who love their pets. They embue trust and confidence in the animals and thelir guardians.“

“Pat has been an amazing mentor as we navigated the adolescence stage with our mini Dachshund as first time dog parents. He is honest, professional, knowledgeable, and humorous which we appreciated greatly. We attended all of the group puppy classes at larger pet stores and did not see the behavior changes we were looking for until we started sessions with Pat. We loved that he allowed us to bring in other family members who also spend a lot of time with our dog so they could be trained on how to appropriately handle him too. Working with Pat has given us confidence and optimism that we needed as first time dog parents. 10/10 recommend.“

“I highly recommend Hugo as a professional dog trainer. He trained my pitbull who was deaf & did an amazing job with him. Back in November I rescued a Cane Corso who was extremely aggressive and reactive. But through the proper obedience training & personal protection and bite work he completely transformed him into an extremely well behaved dog. I can take him anywhere in public and even the mall off leash he’s really amazing. Our next step is to introduce him into the dog sport of PSA“

“First time going to this location it seemed like the staff love animals, went in for an emergency checkup and was seen very quickly. Very nice location with options of treats, toys, and medicine for my kittens. The vet that saw my kittens was as friendly as can be, even providing a lot of caretaking tips that I didn’t know. Can not complain in the slightest. THEY EVEN HAVE FREE COFFEE AND BISCUITS“

“Simmone was incredible! After bringing our sweet 2 1/2 month old chocolate lab puppy home, we realized we needed all the help we could get with training! We were able to get in touch with her and started training not even 2 weeks later. The consultation she does before training starts is amazing. She came in and we discussed all the things we were looking for with training and she created an action plan specific to his breed and our lifestyle! Duke adored her and immediately took to all the training. She is incredibly knowledgeable of all breeds and was able to give us wonderful and helpful recommendations for socialization activities, daycare options, and toys! If I could give her more stars, I would! Our Duke loves her so much, he finally conquered going down the stairs just to greet her with kisses! We cannot recommend her enough and can’t wait to have her back for advanced training sessions!“

“I really like this place. I can see my dog playing all day with other dogs. He really enjoys his time there and sleeps all day after.
They open early which is also really useful because my work starts before 7“

“The Westfield Animal Hospital has been taking care our pet dog Benji for years! Doctors, Technicians and Staff always attentive, caring and helpful. After visit, routinely get call with follow up testing results. Benji has also had dental cleaning and procedures. Highly recommended!“

“OPA is absolutely amazing! Joyce has a tremendous love for animals and all pets in her care. She has taken care of my dog Bear. Whether it’s walking him, day care or pet sitting while I’m away, I always rest easy because I know he’s with Joyce at OPA. Bear is overjoyed to hang out with Joyce. At times I think he likes it better at OPA than his own home! ;) I can’t say enough positive things about Joyce and OPA!“

“Great experience every time Dr Jablecki is excellent we have a very complicated dog and she’s able to diagnose everytime. They’re the best from front desk to vets !

This was my review from a long time ago, service has gone downhill since Dr Jablecki left and all the front desk people and tech people left we used to know them all and were great. The new hires have no clue and are happy to pass you on to other vet hospitals, being a long time client meant nothing. Also the last time we took our friendly for nail clipping he was bleeding we didn’t realize until we got him in the car. Hope things change soon. Last call with the receptionist was good.“
