tl;dr
I had a small job, replacing a deadbolt with a keypad deadbolt, which I was going to do myself- easy enough. I ran into a snag when I saw the existing hole for the lock was not the standard 2 1/8”. I did not have the correct drill bit to fix this myself, plus I was concerned with my lack of skill I would not do a clean, centered job. I read online about a door lock guide clamp, considered briefly moving forward myself, but because I did not want to end up buying a new front door, decided to call Shane. I really appreciated his integrity— the first thing he did was offer guidance on how to complete the job myself, referencing the guide. I still wanted him to do it so I could see how it should be done. He explained his work and gave me some pro tips along the way. I am thrilled with my new keypad deadbolt and also feel confident I can do the remaining doors myself. No loss of business to Shane— I have a long list of work to give him!“

“They did a great job with a water line that was leaking at the meter. The technician was great and explained my options and told me exactly what was going on and how it could be repaired. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them.
My only complaint is that they charge a fee for using a credit/debit card of almost 3% and only other option is a check which you need to wait for the check to clear before you can get on the schedule. This was an issue for me as I am out of town and had to mail a check and wait for it to clear. Shelia did go over and above to get the process moving after we spoke several times on the phone and I explained my situation of not being at the rental home. Ultimately she scheduled us when she received the check. I understand that there are people who may give bad checks but I don’t understand that the only other option is to pay a fee to use a debit or credit card ? I feel a big company like this should factor in that most people will be paying by card these days and at the hourly price for a plumber, it should fall on the company not the customer.
We have used Pete Wall several times and they have always taken care of any and all of our plumbing needs with several rental properties in Greensboro and Asheboro. I highly recommend them and the price was very reasonable.
