“On January 9, 2024, our sump pump mal-functioned, and the heavy rain caused a flood in our basement. The next day, we contacted Servpro, and by the end of the day, a work crew was on site. The team leader, Joe Watson, was able to get the sump pump running, and by the morning of the 11th, the basement was substantially drained. Joe's co-workers on that call were Kelin and James, and they were all very solicitous in assuring that there was no serious damage to any of the items in the basement. On the 11th, Joe returned with Spencer Logan, and they set up a number of fans and a dehumidifier to start the drying out process. By the end of the day on the 12th, the drying process was all but complete, and the equipment was removed on the the 13th. Servpro's personnel were professional in every way, and thanks to their timely attention to the water removal and mold remediation application, any potential for damage was minimized. “The After Disaster team arrived within 1 hour after we called USAA for water remediation….They worked diligently until 9:00 on a Friday evening, and were amazing!!!! Water had spread over several rooms and through the floor to the basement. They brought truckloads of dehumidifiers & fans that were set up for 5 days, coming back to the house to check the drying process several times. Over the next few weeks, their engineer & manager arranged for a variety of sub-contractors to come for repairs, and replacement of flooring, carpets, vents, ceiling tiles & insulation.
