“The care we receive here from Dr. Smith is top notch. Our dog is a difficult patient with a complicated medical history, and she is always so patient with him. We recently went through a big health scare with him, and she was wonderful every step of the way. I felt like she was genuinely feeling all of the emotions we were feeling as we made decisions for him, and she was able to get him in at NC State for surgery. She has been a partner in his care and shown true interest in his wellbeing. We continue to travel almost an hour to come to Dr. Smith even after having moved out of Durham because of the level of care our little guy receives.“

To hit the highlights: I've never sat (or seen anyone) in the waiting room - you always go straight to a room, all of the staff knows my name and each of my pets, they treat every decision like I am part of the team, they explain the cost of everything and help triage depending on need, they are knowledgeable and dedicated.

Most importantly, my precious dog Luna was nearing 14 years old and became very ill with a rare auto-immune disease. The whole team worked with her to diagnose and treat the disease over weeks. Sadly, the day came that we had to say goodbye to her, but I was out of town for work. Dr. Caires and the staff kept the building open for hours after closing on a Friday night so I could get there to say goodbye. They never made me feel rushed or guilty. I can't imagine how much harder the loss would have been without that opportunity to be with her. I will be forever grateful to the staff at Raleigh-Durham Veterinary Hospital.“

“Dr. Banes and her staff are absolutely amazing! I was recommended to St. Francis by a co worker and I am so glad we went. Dr. Banes made us feel super comfortable and answered all of our questions when our little guy needed to get an enucleation. She even gave us her number during the hearing process so we could reach out with any more questions or concerns. After a very successful surgery she is now our primary vet. We couldn't recommend St. Francis more! Excellent communication, high level of knowledge and expertise, and so much compassion. You can tell they love what they do and they really treat you like a person not just a customer.“

My dog's eye was inexplicably swollen shut and as an anxious pet owner I panic called Broadway Veterinary to see if they could get her in ASAP. I am so grateful that Dr. Hartz was able to see us urgently (same day!) and she took such good care of my girl. She figured out what had happened and her treatment plan started working right away. Within a week everything was back to normal!

“Amazing medical help, kind and compassionate staff, clean facility, and always open in the case of any emergency.The only down side is that it is not cheep by any means. Expect a large bill and a substantial up front payment, but while you considering if you will sell off some things or get a second job remember, you do get what you pay for.Also if it’s a high bill you can’t afford they work with care credit and you can get up to 60 months without interest which definitely softens the financial burden.Update 6/11/24Charlie is getting better and better every day.“
