At this point, I trust her judgment so completely that if she recommends something, I know there is a thoughtful reason behind it. She really listens to what I want, explains everything thoroughly, and has an incredible eye for what will look natural and balanced. I never feel like she is trying to change the way I look — I just leave looking... better?<br><br>What I appreciate most is that I have never once felt rushed, pressured, or pushed into doing anything. Chelsea takes her time, makes sure I’m comfortable, and is incredibly intentional with both her recommendations and her approach. She’s incredibly talented, consistent, attentive, and somehow manages to make every appointment feel like you’re catching up with a friend while also knowing you’re going to leave looking fantastic. Five years in, I wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else.<br><br>She’s understandably booked and busy, so plan ahead. I usually book about two weeks out, and honestly, that’s just the price of admission for getting someone this good.<br><br>The rest of the experience at Edge is excellent, too. The front desk is always friendly and helpful, the salon is clean and well cared for, and the owner is genuinely lovely. There’s a warmth to the place that makes it feel welcoming without being overly precious or corporate.<br><br>After 60ish appointments, I feel pretty qualified to say this: Edge is doing something right. Great people, great atmosphere, and consistently great hair. And if you can get on Dawn’s calendar, do it. You’ll understand why she stays booked.”

“Had been in Chapel Hill for a while. Time for a haircut. I did a Yelp search and saw that Salon 135 got 5 stars, so decided to check it out.<br><br>I had the chance to stop by in person and made an appointment last night for a haircut this afternoon. The lady at the front desk was quite friendly, and she assigned me to Jennifer because she is more experienced at cutting straight hair.<br><br>It was the Homecoming weekend, I had trouble finding parking, so I was about 15 minutes late when I arrived at the salon this afternoon. Jennifer was working on her client who had an appointment before me because he was 20 minutes late. So I had to wait for about 10 additional minute until she finished.<br><br>Jennifer was friendly and professional! She gave suggestions and worked with me on deciding the hairstyle I was getting. We had a good conversation during the haircut. I requested an additional layer when she was ready to wrap up. She immediately worked on it without further ado. My whole cut, which involved cutting away about 6 inches with lots of layering, took about 50 minutes from start to finish.<br><br>All in all, Salon 135 has a friendly and professional staff.
