4221 Garrett Rd #1, Durham“I have used Upright Athlete both for physical therapy and for strengths training. I seriously broke my right ankle (pilon fracture) in April 2023, had surgery, was non-weight bearing in a wheelchair for three months. And I started physical therapy with Gabe Dimock in July 2023. He has been amazing -- thoughtful, supportive, kind, encouraging, and flexible and always took time to answer questions. Ten months later (!!) after physical therapy for twice a week, I finally graduated over to the other side of the gym and have been doing strengths training with Gabe since May 2024. Am very grateful to be back to walking, hiking and building back my strength and stamina and I am so glad I chose to work with Upright Athlete. Highly, highly recommend them!“

1020 Burning Tree Dr, Chapel Hill“Natalie is amazing!!! My daughter had hip dysplasia when she was born and was in a Pavlik harness for 4 months. Once she got out, her gross motor skills were a bit delayed and Natalie worked with us to get her sitting up and crawling. She is so, so patient and creative and always came up with a clever way to get our stubborn girl to cooperate. She even worked remotely with us when in-person meetings weren't possible. I think with babies, excellent PTs are just as good with parents as they are with kids and Natalie was amazing with both of us--definitely helped me feel more confident in working with my kiddo throughout the day, even when we weren't in sessions. I 100% recommend working with Natalie and Move It PT!“

There's a free 30-minute consultation, in which he'll evaluate your needs and do a little hands-on work. He ended up referring me to a place that's more PT-based, but I so appreciated his time. Toby clearly knows his stuff, so I highly recommend him!“

I always walk out of my appointments having learned a new way to practice movement and exercise. He has helped me gain back mobility and movement in my back that I had avoided for years due to pain and fear of causing more pain.I am forever grateful for Jacob! He is the best!“

“My experience with physical therapy has been very positive. All of the therapy has been helpful. Aquatic therapy has been productive and less painful. Have cancel some days because pain has hindered ability to prepare and get there. I learned new effective exercises in all PT visits. Therapists were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional.“

But once I got my PCP to call one in, I had a great experience with several of the physical therapists. It's clearly one of the higher functioning, effective departments at UNC. 5007 Southpark Dr #130, Durham“Dr P is just amazing during pregnancy, and has also helped a ton with my back and a lot of other post-baby issues, despite the fact that I don’t actually do a lot of stuff he recommends at home (he’s very non-judgmental about that).
My husband had an intense back pain as well, went to Dr P, got it completely fixed in two sessions and by religiously doing exercises he recommended. So he’s great and really knows what he’s doing!“

100 Sprunt St, Chapel Hill“***If you have EDS see Obed***I have a rare genetic disorder that makes my joints very lax and recently had surgery to correct patellar instability. My PT therapist was Obed. He’s amazing. He had a very good understanding of my condition and even put in a recommendation I see another PT there who is a POTS specialist! Can you believe it a POTS specialist!!?? Anyway, so far I’ve had one visit and it was the best PT I’ve ever had. Mostly because he actually understands my condition and read my notes. Anyone who actually takes the time to read my notes gets an A+ in my book. The clinic was clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Additionally, they offer services on the weekends. I will update as I go along, but really it was a fantastic first impression and I’m overwhelmed with the kindness, knowledge and patient Obed had with me.“

1728 Fordham Blvd STE 115, Chapel Hill“Wow, where to start?! The team at Results PT were remarkable, and helped me rehabilitate my knee from a total replacement surgery. Marissa is an extraordinary Physical Therapist who truly listens and cares about her patients. Jen was her student assistant, and she too was very personable, knowledgeable and caring. They both were very supportive and committed to my desire to get back to an active lifestyle, to include playing basketball again! I am forever grateful for their professionalism and friendly / fun style of care. I couldn't have had a more perfect PT experience, and although they worked me lovingly hard, I am walking normally again, and played basketball for the first time in over a year, and that's only 20 weeks after my most recent knee surgery! Anyone would be lucky to be able to have Results PT, Marrisa (and Brittany, RPT receptionist) for their rehabilitation services! Thank you!“

Every aspect, from scheduling the appointment, the appointment itself, went smoothly. The staff I spoke to were all incredibly friendly and professional. I felt my concerns were adequately addressed, and my questions answered.I've experience medical trauma in my life, I'm a very nervous person when it comes to doctors, so my recent appointment here was quite encouraging. Looking forward to finally getting some answers on my chronic pain.“
