Michelle is extremely professional, but chill, easy to talk to, a kind soul. I will return to her when I'm in the Cities for my future black-and-grey, flora and fauna tattoos.“

“I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is welcoming, the artists and staff have great camaraderie, and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. No matter what questions you have, they’re happy to answer them without ever making you feel foolish.

One thing that really stands out is how much they genuinely care about their community. I don’t live in the area, but it’s obvious from the way they talk about the neighborhood and support other local businesses that they take pride in being part of it.

I walked in by chance last year, and that one visit was all it took. It’s the only tattoo shop I’ll go to now. I can’t recommend Nokomis Tattoo enough.“

“I’ve had really good experiences with the artists that do their work here, both as a walk-in and via appointment. The space is smaller and clean. There are some tattoo shops that seem super intimidating to me, but the staff and artists here have always been really friendly + efficient. I love that they have guest artists stop in that are from out of town as well! I recommend them and their artists a lot whenever I get compliments on my tattoos since I have three now from there. Also love their “sister” shop (Highland Tattoo). Shoutout to Hannah + Sarah Louise for their work especially!

Also think it’s important to work with artists that respect people’s varying tastes in style and also respect the history of the art - everyone here seems super respectful of both those aspects. Overall would definitely recommend as a solid go-to shop in the area.“

“Neighborhood is a great spot. The shop is clean, calm, and welcoming. I found it a comfortable place to get a tattoo.

I specifically got my tattoo with Ian Richards and I cannot say enough good things about him. He took my inspiration drawings and drew what I asked for while adding his own personal style. He worked with me through last minute details, taking my input seriously, offering opinions when asked but never pushing. If you ever need a needle break - he will gladly give it to you, just ask. Most of all, he was genuinely excited about the tattoo. It looks GREAT. I'd recommend him for anything, but especially if you're getting an animal I'd really consider Ian. He loves animals and does a great job on them, including mine.

However, vibes of shop are overall 10/10 so if you're considering another artist I'd still recommend.“
