“I came home from work and found my dog had passed suddenly and unexpectedly. He was only 9 years old. We contacted Akin Hills Pet Hospital and they helped us take care of everything right away. We asked them to have him cremated but weren't expecting the heartfelt way they took care of him and the nice urn/case they put his ashes in. They REALLY seem to care.“

“I'm not quite sure where to begin so I'll simply start with - THANK YOU. Dr. Davies, Dr. Michels, and Dr. Etoll helped us for years with our almost 20 year old cat, Sammy. They guided us through his Hyperthyroid condition and prescribed just the right medicines. Once, he went through a spell where he was pooping outside the litter box and they recommended a calming diffuser that did seem to help. We couldn't be more grateful for the care and compassion that all of the staff showed us over the years. I guarantee they gave us extra years with our Sammy. And although Sammy recently passed away, I will ALWAYS recommend Crossroads Animal Hospital to anyone I know and if (when) we get a new pet, we will certainly start right away with Crossroads again. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.“
“I have been bringing my dog to SLVC for 14 years….since she was a baby. Even though I have moved from Prior Lake I still make the 75 mile round trip to bring my Molly to see Dr.Zach. Becky at the front desk was there to answer my questions when Molly was a baby. She is still there and watching my girl walk her final years! Love this place and highly recommend.“

“Due to COVID you have to call when you arrive and they will come and let you in. While I'm surprised they're still doing this we did get in pretty quickly. We were able to go in with our dog and a mask was not required. We were expecting our dog would need x-rays and was expecting it was not going to be cheap. The vet examined her and did not feel x-rays were necessary. He explained our options for treatment but never made us feel pressured. He listened to all of our questions and concerns and answered them. We did not feel rushed at any time. The next morning he personally called us with the blood test results. While a visit to a vet is not cheap. I feel their prices were in line with any other vet. If not, even a little less than I expected and to find a vet who does not do unnecessary treatment or diagnosis tests (x-rays) is amazing. We were treated well but most importantly our dog was treated well. I would not hesitate to recommend them after the visit we had. They even scanned my dog's micro chip so they could enter it in their database in the event she is ever lost and they can help. This was done as their office practice. It was a great idea I had not even thought about.“

“We have been going to Crossroads Animal Hospital for over 27 years. We have had 7 dogs seen by them and over the years and they have always given our animals the best possible care. We lost one of our dogs that had developed a disease that they weren't familiar with and they took the time to reach out to someone in California that was able to diagnose the disease. We lost another dog this past year due to cancer and they did everything they could to keep him comfortable and with us longer. The care they gave him and us were extremely professional with the amount of patience, courtesy, and compassion for what we were going through. Over the years I have recommended Crossroads to our friends and neighbors and they also shared with us how pleased they were with the care they received. Scheduled mass removed and told them I wanted on a day Dr. Mills was working since she was the one who most recently saw my dog. Dropped of my dog this morning for surgery and come to find out she's on vacation. Wasn't happy when I scheduled surgery on a day Mills was working on purpose. They offered to reschedule but wanted this done and over with!“

“Enrolled my dog in the "Positive Dog Training" classes for Adult Dog Level 1. I was lucky enough to get Paul D as our trainer. The commands he presented were clear in both word, print out and example which he had us practice several times and not too much in one week so we could really get our dogs solid on the homework. My dog was also having issues being around strange dogs, but with Paul's help during class I think my dog is on the road to a full recovery there as well (from whatever spooked him in his life before I rescued him). Thank you Paul for your understanding and patience. Definitely recommend enrolling in classes with Paul D. Looking forward to more classes taught by him!Judy G.“

“Dr. Taylor and her team are excellent caregivers to our feline family member! All are positive, professional and very thorough in their approach to care. Our cat has a health issue that requires a daily medication, and the clinic always has been quick with our prescription requests. If a health concern has arose, they have been very clear and communicated our options. Communication during our cat’s dental procedure and our take home consultation were very timely and thorough. Our front desk and phone call experiences have all been positive as well. Their clinic is clean and has a nice selection of wellness products for purchase. Our experiences have been nothing but positive and professional from our very first phone call to yesterday’s dental procedure!“
