“Excellent and kind people to work with. In the middle of a purchase I got a call that my mother had a brain aneurysm and was being transported to a hospital with a specialist (across the state). I tried to finish, got overwhelmed and ran out. I was buying flooring for her new home so she could move to GR. Her surgery was successful. A week+ after I needed another box of flooring. When I went in they remembered me and asked how everything was. It was very kind! This was not our first time there. Every time has been a good experience, helpful people, great prices. My new home needed some serious TLC thanks to the previous owner's animals, and both Tom and Sam came out and made a bunch of excellent recommendations that turned an allergy and odor filled nightmare into a clean and pleasant space to live in. They were even willing to space apart the tear out of the old carpet and the installation of the new carpet to allow me time to complete their recommended step of putting down some Killz to better improve the situation. “There is so many wonderful things I would love to say about Grand Rapids Construction and their team. First and foremost is the caring this team has for their customers and workers. The owners a husband and wife team are without a doubt the most caring. To ensure there were no hiccups with the installation of our enclosed carport with neighbors the owner Deserie stayed with the team almost 12 hours. The team started at 8 am and were completely finished by 8 pm. They cleaned up the yard , road etc. they did not leave trash anywhere contrary to previous post. We live on a one lane dead end road with seasonal residents. If any emergency vehicles needed to get through it would have taken less time than one would imagine as we would have all materials out of the road by the time the vehicle made it up the hill. The owners do care about everyone's input. Sadly the previous poster is a disgruntled neighbor that has nothing to do with Grand Rapids Construction. Please feel free to ask me any questions as truly we never would have had this carport without the due diligence of GRC. They have worked through red tape, stood up for us with zoning laws etc. they went to bat for us and we are extremely grateful to them. We are an elderly couple that truly needed an enclosed carport in order to keep us from falling on ice etc. Matt, Deserie and Brittany worked with us from day one! It took months to get our permits etc and they worked for us every step of the way. We truly feel part of their family and know it didn't stop with the completion of our carport. We have made life long friends with GRC and their family. I would also like to thank their 16 year old son who came out early the next day to make sure there were no nails or screws we could slip on. Ps there were none as the team cleaned up so well.“
