He is an excellent mentor who has been helping her improve her pronunciation, breath control, and overall confidence. He is very patient and truly cares about his students, especially young learners. His supportive and encouraging approach makes learning enjoyable for my 8-year-old. We really appreciate his dedication and guidance.“

Returning for subsequent (separate) repair and maintenance items, they were quick to respond via email and transparent about the estimated bench time. I feel confident about bringing my gear here because I know they’ll always make it right.“

12401 Twinbrook Pkwy, Rockville“Always a good place to spend a foul weather afternoon. The staff is really nice, helpful but don't pressure you in any way to make a purchase. My most recent visit was a rainy day in mid-July 2026. The higher-end acoustics are now in the front room and the cheaper ones to the back. Frankly, there's not a single one of those cheap Mitchell, Ibanez, Fender and whatever else is in that room I'd lay a hand on. If you're a beginner, try out the various models of Martin and Taylor and pick one of those. IMO, the Gibsons are overpriced, mostly sound dull and unremarkable... unplugged anyway. They were very well stocked on this visit in both electrics and acoustics. The big problem was that almost EVERY Martin guitar I picked up had VERY old strings, but also had VERY high action, which together, made them entirely unplayable. The strings literally stuck to my fingers. If you're trying to sell guitars in the $1,500-$4,500 range, you MUST ensure they're in playable condition. I have 25+ acoustics, so I have a pretty good idea as to playability. Get one of your staff members to replace strings and make some truss rod adjustments. You could get all of the Martins done in a day. In contrast, nearly all of Taylors were in decent, playable condition as they typically ship with Elixir 80/20 strings, which last a long time, although I prefer the Elixir PB nanos. I don't know why the neck relief on the Martins gets so out of whack after they're set up in the factory, but something to keep in mind when choosing a guitar brand. Chris Martin would be appalled if he stepped into the acoustic room and picked up any of the Martins. The best value in Martin acoustics IMO are the X models, remarkably good sounding, versatile guitars in the $700-$800 range. I have a 000x1ae (now 000x2e) that was under $600 when I bought it and is remarkably my go to guitar despite owning guitars more than 5x the cost. The Taylor GS Mini guitars are a smaller body acoustic great for the beginner and novice looking for a great travel guitar. The Taylor 100/200/300 series are a little more expensive, but also a good value. The Taylor GA models x14s are some of the most popular and versatile up and down the line. Generally, its easier to buy a good electric for a decent price than an acoustic. In electrics, Fender has so many good models for reasonable prices, notwithstanding their recent lawsuits debacle everyone is rightfully complaining about.“

I have found Manny who knows and teaches music and Zory, who manages the operations of their school, to be a welcoming and supportive team that provides a positive and encouraging environment. Glad I found them. Highly Recommended.“

15420 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring“My daughter started at the age of four at EAMA and has been with Dr Oster for over 4 years now. She has grown tremendously in the artistic world as well as in her regular life outside the music.
The program is rigorous that students are expected to make progress every week by hitting the weekly goals specifically tailored to their capability. With several decades of experience working with children, Dr Oster understands kids developmental stages and pushes them to reach their best. There will be challenges but the incremental rewards are highly appreciated and celebrated by the EAMA community. Following through the program so far has made obvious impact on my daughter's focus span, logic reasoning, mathematical sense, and overall executive functional skills.
Dr Oster has a well-balanced teaching style that she will adapt to each individual kid's learning aptitude and personality, but her feedback and compliment are always honest and candid based on child's effort and performance. Her upholding of a true but high standard of excellence benefited my daughter very much that enabled her to truly discover herself what made up her musical interest and what's behind of a musical or any passion lies pride and confidence earned after hard work. Understanding the value of discipline and commitment to a craft is probably the best gift she is going to instill at EAMA and carry forward into her life beyond.“

“What can I say about Ms. Irina- she’s not just an amazing piano teacher, she guides all of her students to believe in the power of music. She has high expectations her students and they meet them out of a genuine talent she fosters along the way….because she lovingly cares for each one of her students. My son has been taking lessons for three years now and he loves to learn with her because she enriches his experience and listens, as well as believes passionately that every student is “a performer.” She is one of a kind and we consider ourselves so fortunate to have found her! I cannot wait to see how he continues to learn and grow under her guidance :)“
