What can I say about Ms. Irina- she’s not just an amazing piano teacher, she guides all of her students to believe in the power of music. She has high expectations her students and they meet them out of a genuine talent she fosters along the way….because she lovingly cares for each one of her students. My son has been taking lessons for three years now and he loves to learn with her because she enriches his experience and listens, as well as believes passionately that every student is “a performer.” She is one of a kind and we consider ourselves so fortunate to have found her! Irina is a talented professional who not only excels with teaching children but is also adept at instruction of adult piano students, even a senior former beginner like myself. Learning the notes is just the starting point, then she takes you to the essence of the piece, whether simple or advanced.
Irina emphasizes the quality of the sound produced However should you strike a wrong note, she can usually tell you what caused it and help fix it.
She has a way of injecting humor when giving constructive criticism that is ultimately encouraging and confidence-boosting. I highly recommend Olney Piano Studio.

My daughter has been taking lessons at Olney Piano Studio for the past several years and it has been a wonderful experience. Irina is an amazing pianist, but most importantly is a great teacher. She does a great job tailoring instruction to the student’s skill level while building confidence and encourages a genuine love for music.
