After obtaining 5 different estimates to add a porch onto the front of my house, I choose Reliable for two reasons: 1) A neighbor had hired them and gave positive feedback; 2) Very reasonably priced compared to others.

I was so pleased with the price, that I asked Kelvin if he could do more work on the house for me, and he agreed! I now have new insulated siding, a new roof, new gutters and a new front concrete sidewalk in addition to the wonderful porch that has electrical outlets and a lighted-ceiling fan! The fan makes all the difference!

What impressed me most was how Kelvin met all my needs, and made suggestions to improve on my plans. I really felt as though we we're a team! And then he surprised me with little extras like detailed crown molding, tying the new gutters into the existing underground release pipes and adding a few extra feet length on the sidewalk that really made a difference ! Some ground leveling and planting grass seed from where I had the tree removed was another nice surprise!

“B&R replaced the 38-year-old siding on my house, which was long overdue for some maintenance. Over the past five years, I had already replaced the gutters and roof, so I was finally ready to move on to the siding. They were the third company I contacted for a quote.

The first company gave me an outrageously high estimate for an overly elaborate product that was far more than I needed. The second company provided a reasonable quote, but only if I signed the contract that same day. That kind of pressure always gives me the ick, so I moved on.

I decided to contact B&R after reading great reviews on Nextdoor. There was a little confusion initially about connecting me with the right person, but once I got in touch with Erick, one of the brothers in this family business, everything was smooth sailing.

After receiving the initial quote and doing some additional research, I sent Erick a list of follow-up questions. I was very impressed that he personally came back to clarify everything. As we got closer to the estimated installation date, I reached out again to confirm the schedule, and the crew arrived exactly as promised and completed the work on time.

To replace the siding, they had to remove exterior light fixtures and disassemble my side deck, and everything was put back together before they left. I did point out that the front light fixture had not been reconnected correctly at first, and Erick made sure it was fixed before the crew departed.

Dave came out giving us an upfront accurate quote in person, was able to answer all our question without hesitation and able to give us reasonable expectations of what to expect. His crew showed up on time and got right to work. The best part was they were able to do our whole house, sun room, porch and even our shed all in ONE day. My neighbor with the same house said it took another company 2 days and they still had to come back out to fix an issue. “I am so grateful for the professional, prompt and good value service by SNAP Roofing, Siding & Windows. Our sliding glass door was installed in 2012 by another siding and roofing company in Bowie, everything fine til the lock became loose and failed in July. I contacted that company and while they were helpful in obtaining us the replacement lock for purchase, I never heard back from them (4 phone calls and a text seeking to hire them to replace it). Transaction. Jess explained the products they use for the job and showed samples so I knew what I was getting, and she helped me choose a color that complemented my home. She even added my shed to the job to match my house. Sandy was the project coordinator, and she did an excellent job of explaining any prep I had to do (removing pictures on the outside walls, etc), and overseeing the job. The job took 5 days, and the crew arrived every morning at 8 am and didn’t leave that day until they completed the day’s work. Even though the temperature was only in the 20’s, the crew worked as a team and enjoyed their work. They were polite, respectful, and discussed with me any issues that popped up. The finished product is beautiful, and they cleaned up when the job was done. Considering how much siding had to be removed, they left the yard in clean condition with only a few small stray pieces of material. To my surprise, the owner himself came out late in the workday on a Friday to take a look. That alone impressed me — most companies would have pushed it to the following week.
