“I live about 5 minutes from the Laurel location and decided to give this location a shot. I've tried other massage services in the area and none impressed me to the point that I would return. BUT I can now say I think I've found the one with Massage Crystal Laurel. Even though I've only been there once (today), the massage was excellent and just what I needed. I left there feeling so relaxed that I had to pause and close my eyes in my car for a moment before driving off. The site was clean, the staff extremely friendly and thorough and my masseuse (Coco) was very attentive to my problem areas. Coco really went in on my knots! “Not that appearance is important, but the reception area, waiting room, exercise room, and treatment rooms are nicely decorated and appointed.

Being a competive runner for the last 24 years has resulted in a few overuse injuries that do reoccur at inopportune times, e.g. while ramping up for an important race. The purpose of my first set of visits (a few years ago) to Howard County Chiropractic for Active Release Technique (ART) treatment by Dr. Jake was to calm down inflammation in abductor and/or groin muscles in my left leg, originally an overuse injury from 10 or 11 years ago. The purpose of the current set of visits was to heal strained muscle tissue in my calves and restore them to optimum strength. Dr. Jake's 18 years of experience coupled with his own experiences competing in triathlons gives him insights not common even in the world of ART treatment. His approach to my ART treatment as well as the exercises he prescribed (guided and oversaw by exercise room staff) produced fabulous results. Furthermore, everyone on staff is friendly and very professional. My experience at this facility was all around fully excellent.“

While, in my head, I thought I wanted more pressure, I could tell Ericka's movements and precise amounts of pressure were well calculated. She recognized my tight areas and meticulously worked them. The gentle stretches were perfect and much appreciated. Something I haven't experienced in a professional setting was the massage of the temples and scalp. That felt SOOOOO good.
