I haven't had the best first time experience at a nail salon within a long time since Solar Salon in Greenbelt. I went to this salon recently, and I was blessed to come across Tyler who every review highly speak about. He was by far the best nail artist I ever had. My nails turned out so pretty! I got French tips on my toes and got clear with gems for my finger nails. Tina was nice and made sure that I liked my nails. The service was fast and she helped make sure I got what I wanted. Price is really cheap and the toe nails especially last very long.
Out of town so I’m always skeptical about trying new places but this place didn’t miss a beat. I’m very picky about my nail shape and TiTi did my nails so beautifully. I’m obsessed. The pink, shape and overall appearance is amazing. Only bad thing is that I felt like my pedicure was super rushed. Was over less than ten mins but besides it’s all good.

I recently moved to the area about a year ago and needed a stylist that was professional and really reliable. I truly found this in Lawanda! I also love that I am usually in an out of her chair within 2 hours. I have armpit length thick semi relaxed hair and Lawanda does a truly fantastic job in getting my roots straight and flat! This was dealbreaker for me in finding a stylist, as I don't like puffy or stiff roots. She also is tremendously skilled at detangling and blow drying! My hair is thick which tangles and knots easily after washing. Lawanda takes her time and I don't experience hair loss or breakage during this process , as I have with other stylist. Overall my hair is healthy and is growing more. Lastly, I love the private mini salon suite that really allows the stylist to focus on the client without a lot of extra activity. I highly recommend Lawanda!!

I got small waist-length knotless braids from Chel’s and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I have never had my hair braided before but I was impressed from the beginning with the clear and consistent communication before my appointment. I was offered snacks and something to drink and found the environment to be calm, friendly, and clean. The braiders were efficient and highly-skilled, and while I’m tender-headed, I wasn’t in any pain. I love my braids and have already gotten so many compliments since getting them! I just got the BEST haircut, possibly in my life, from one of the loveliest people I have ever met. I am a middle aged white woman with a whole lot of ugly straight hair. I have spent a fortune at salons in search of the cut that Daniel gave me today. I wear my hair short and the traditional treatment that I get at a salon looks like the old fashioned, old lady tease out and spray. Daniel gave me the most perfectly blended, stylish (definitely not old lady cut). I absolutely love what he did. It is with reservation that I publish this....I really don't want to share his services with others. I have a lot of structural issues due to accidents over the last 12 years. I’ve traveled many states trying to get better. I did cranial sacral for a while, that helped a little but it only got me so far. I did rolfing for a while, that helped a lot but when I stopped going once a week the pain came back. It took me to a certain point but stil not far enough. I’ve gone to Mike 4x and I can feel real progress. Structurally I can just tell I am better. We have been working on my more than a decade old hip injury, and I can tell each time that my hip is getting back into place. My third session the hip got better but my lower back felt terrible. It felt like the first day I got the injury (falling off motorcycle). I started to worry but I remember “retracing” does happen (it’s when your body feels old injuries before leaving the body). This pain lasted 4 days and left my body and now I’m all better again. We have more work to do but I’m so very grateful I found Mike. I’ve done so many different types of massages and Shiatsu shintai is a different animal to me. On top of the massage Mike does some getting rid of negative attachments and blockages through shamanic healing. To a lot of people that sounds like hocus pocus, but I really can feel in my body that I feel lighter after these sessions and I just feel lighter and lighter. These sessions are great for people with stuck traumas and injuries. Highly recommend.

Cannot recommend Rula enough!! After YEARS of going to the same stylist, I switched it up and was blown away. She gave me a full highlight (and even did the front pieces) and it turned out super cute and perfect for summer. She knew exactly what I was asking for and delivered. She was quick and so fun to talk to. She made me feel very at ease and we had a few laughs too! I will definitely be going back to her when it’s time for my next set of highlights.

Kendra is a 10 star stylist! She's professional, funny, kind, and not to mention an EXCELLENT stylist. I've come to her twice for a full weave install. From the shampoo (that includes a fantastic scalp massage), to the braiding (not at all too tight and she checked in to make sure I was OK), to the styling everything was GREAT! Kendra even sells hair, so it could be a one stop shop for all your hair needs. The ONLY downside would be that you're going to pay for a great service, but so far it's proved to be worth every penny. If you need to get your natural hair or weave together RUN, don't walk, to Kendra Kouture Hair!!!

Came in as a new client for a wax and decided to come back before I event entered the studio. The vibe Michai has curated in her space is so safe and comfortable and her personality and character match that energy and then some. Michai clearly knows her stuff about skin care and various skin types and skin needs, which separates her from other places that treat you more like a factory part and push you in and out the door. I didn't feel like she tried to upsell me and the cute first-time customer gift was just the cherry on top. Mr.Cox is the best plumber I have ever hired, he is a thorough professional and is very determined to solve any plumbing issues at home. I had a hot water issue which was he resolved, this job was seen by 3 plumbers previously and they could not solve the issue for 3 weeks. Mr Cox stepped in and diligently investigated the issue and resolved it in a timely manner and was very reasonable in his price as well. I would recommend him without any hesitation.

Another phenomenal experience with Spartan. It’s always frustrating when your system stops working. Admittedly I was a little short with them over the phone (sorry Spartan operator, my bad!) due to my frustration, but these guys were total pros! They were calm cool and collected, sent someone out ASAP. Matthew was a phenomenal trouble shooter, polite, honest, identified the problem right away, and was great with my nosey dog! Fantastic experience. Came out at last minute to snake pipes after water backed up from toilet and bathtub. They know the Bowie Levitt homes well and were able to clear blockage quickly and professionally. They were clean, mindful of a sleeping baby, and cleaned the worksite before leaving. They also spotted 2 other issues and came back the next morning to fix. Affordable and they dress nicely. Highly Recommend!!
We recently used Capitol Improvements for an older home in NE DC. This was a siding replacement that was long overdue and we also had the soffits replaced. We were very impressed by the hard work of the crew who would arrive at 7:30 and work until past 6 pm. They appeared very efficient and worked well together. I would recommend contacting and discussing various options with the company as they answered all our questions.
Steve and his teams were incredibly helpful when I had an issue with some rafters. It was great to work with someone communicative and responsive. Steve always returned my phone calls, showed up on time, and took great care of the job site. Area Roofing (AR) replaced my roof after the big hail storm 10 years ago. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed something didn't look quite right about one of the shingles on my roof. I called AR and Mr. TJ Johnson came out to have a look. There was a shingle flipped up. TJ put it back into place and checked for other damage. He told me my roof still had about another 10 to 12 years of life and he did not charge me for the minor repair. Thank you for your prompt service AR. You guys came through for me again! What can I say that hasn't already been said. Robb and his son are excellent. They came out on the weekend to install a new HVAC system. Quality installation that was surprisingly affordable. They are punctual, helpful, insightful, and will go the extra mile to satisfy customer needs. Old school family business mentality that won't disappoint. You will not find anyone that does it better.
I'm a certified home inspector and Nestor installed my new AC and Furnace correctly. It was a BIG job. I trusted them to completely replace our system, and they did it quickly, efficiently and at a good price. And Nestor had followed up on multiple requests I had to make a couple of adjustments so that our new system was running perfectly. It's 95F today and our new Bryant AC is running COLD air and holds it's own. I got estimates from multiple providers who wanted to rip me off because my furnace was broken on the coldest day of the year. Nestor gave me an honest quote and didn't give me excuses like "I need to do extra sheet metal work" or "your system needs a new flue". He figured out what was the best midrange furnace and AC for our house and quickly installed it so our house wouldn't freeze up. His installation was up to code. The Nest thermostat didn't work at first but when I mentioned it wasn't working, he came back the next day and fixed it. The aC and furnace he installed are quiet and energy efficient. He also installed a high quality air filter. I looked for leaks in his duct work and I couldn't find any. He correctly set up the condensate drip line to extend 1 feet past the foundation of the home. I do wish he put a more sturdy mat for my aC, time will tell if it shifts and he has promised to come back if I need any adjustments.

And I have almost never taken the time to write a review. But Ed Barton’s Tree Care LLC has inspired me to overcome my resistance. And, yes, it is for a good reason. I had a huge tree partially down that threatened my driveway and my front yard. My long driveway is fragile and narrow, so I was concerned about large trucks having to come down it. I was also concerned that the tree, as it was cut and falling, may have damaged my water well. I had other concerns as well. Ed Barton actually listened to all my concerns—a very rare thing. He instructed his crew of talented men to make sure I’d be satisfied with their work. I couldn’t have been more amazed—and pleased---with the great result. In addition, the cost of the project was very fair. I couldn’t be more pleased, and I will definitely call Ed and his team again if needed. And that is why I’m pleased to recommend his company!

Laura is truly an amazing acupuncturist and person! She has helped my family out with so many different health issues. I can not say enough about her! On top of being very knowledgable, she is also so kind and gentle.
This is only the second place I've been to for acupuncture. So, that's what I'm comparing my experience with. I'm sure, just like my chiropractors, each practitioner does their job differently. Hunter has a very calming disposition which is suitable for the field of acupuncture. He asks how I am since the previous session. Each of my sessions so far has been approximately 30 minutes in length. I had become accustomed to a 1-hour session and kinda miss that. I asked Hunter about his process as, my previous acupuncturist would place needles on my back, hand while here all pricks have been below the waist. So, I'm curious, if I tried another spot, what would be the differences there. Generally, I use acupuncture as one of my pain management systems; it works.
I had a great experience. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I was seen pretty quickly and the appointment was thorough, the doctor went over different aspects in life that may help me with my pain which i really appreciated. The doctor using more mechanical methods to treat rather than manual. It did help, however i think i prefer a manual adjustment. I will go back!
