“I've been seeing Diane for a few years now and will continue to do so, as she really takes care of me! For reference, I have very long, very fine, medium-density virgin hair, and like most people with this amount of length, I'm always weary of getting it cut with someone new. I have had one too many stylists decide that it's within their rights to chop off far more than was originally discussed, which ends up feeling like someone has removed a limb from your body without permission. Prior to my first appointment with her, I went in with this fear since I've had the extra chop chop experience so many times elsewhere but thankfully, I have not had this happen here. I see her every few months for a trim and before she even touches my hair with scissors, she tells me how much she thinks needs to come off, and whatever we agree upon is what she cuts. There have been zero surprises, what I ask for is what I get. She's fast, she's personable, she doesn't pressure me to buy anything extra or to get services I didn't come in for, she makes sure my hair is PERFECTLY even all around (and I really mean it, she cuts from all angles, we go from sitting to standing to sitting just to make sure it all lines up, which I really appreciate), and she actually handles my hair with care, which is so appreciated because it's very fragile -- a lot of people are happy to rip through my tangles to save time, which is wild because at no point have I ever set out to pay for extra breakage lol. Not an issue here, thank God. I've just overall had great experiences with Wow-U and her, so if you're looking for a new hair spot, def worth your while booking an appointment, highly recommend!“

to see if I could get my hair done on my day off and what timeframe I was looking for. I informed her I had already purchased my hair, as I have a sensitive scalp. I provided pictures of what I was looking for and informed her that I have fine hair and am tenderheaded on top of my head. let me just say blessed hands know how to comb that hair. I was literally in there at times, going to sleep. My hair is not tight. It does not itch. She even told me how to take care of it, and I know for a fact, I will be back. The place itself was clean, spacious and relaxing.

Unless it is your thing, there is no need to be in a sweat shop sitting on top of other people getting your hair done, not to mention the noise, inconsistent braiding size, and inconsistent pricing. I highly recommend her.“

“Ms. Gale is a beautiful soul who is professional and provides excellent customer service and hair care. I relocated to the DMV 2.5 years ago and she is the ONLY stylist I have used for protective styles (braids, faux locs, crochet, twists, etc). I have booked Ms. Gale’s services over 15 times. Her pricing is reasonable and her policies are more than fair. Additionally, she also services both of my teenage sons. One has started locs and the other has braids.
