“We hired A&A Services Home Improvement to replace 30 windows, including 2 sliders and 2 casement windows we replaced with double hung windows. From our first interaction with owner Chris Zorzy, our appointment with Sean, through the installation and follow up for a couple minor fixes they were a pleasure to work with.The biggest plus for us was no high-pressure sales or upselling. Sean also checked a dormer roof my husband thought needed to be replaced. He said the roof was fine and so was an exterior door my husband thought should be replaced. He also suggested replacing our Velux skylights with fixed skylights since we never open them. I’m not sure other companies would have been as honest. And their warranty is one of the best. Ten years on the installation and lifetime on the windows, and based on their reviews they stand by their warranty.Scott and his team of 7 were long-time employees (20+ years) and 2 men who installed windows for another major window replacement company. They were professional, respected our property and easy to communicate with. The job was done in 2 ½ days during the coldest week of the year. Despite the cold they did their best to minimize the timing the windows were open to the elements and hung a drop cloth when they were replacing the sliders with windows. When they were done the house was cleaner than when they started.Sean checked in during the installation and afterwards to review the work. During the follow up visit we mentioned a couple minor things we wanted fixed, there was no pushback at all, and someone was out the next week.Finally, we’ve had numerous home improvement projects done over the past 40 years and I think it’s the first time we’ve ever received a thank you note. I’m sure there will be more home improvement projects in our future and when the time comes, we won’t hesitate to call A&A Services Home Improvement again.“

“Barrowclough came highly recommended, especially Paul Newman. I had seen his work at a couple homes. It was perfect. When it was time for us to do a major renovation, we invited them to give us a quote with other contractors. We ultimately chose them, although they were not the lowest quote. We chose to leave our home during construction to give them freedom to do their thing. Not only did Paul work quickly and efficiently, but during the job, he called frequently to keep me updated, and he came up with ideas to make the space more usable and modern. Rather than keep 2 old fashioned pantries, he had an idea to pull off the doors and order cabinet frames and doors and extend the kitchen into the hallway. He pulled out the insides and reengineered them to our custom specs. The result was that for minimal cost (hundreds of dollars) we got much more functionality and efficiency. We ended up adding to the kitchen and dining room job. What did we add? We removed popcorn ceiling, painted hallways and stairwell, painted master bath and bedroom, redid two upstairs bathrooms and more. We came home to a new house in April 2021 just as covid is (hopefully) winding down. What a gift Paul is. I'm happy to show the work that Paul and his crew did. He employs the best subcontractors and partners with them to ensure they are working together well. You can't go wrong with Paul and Barrowclough. Paul is a master carpenter. I would give it 5 stars, if I knew where to post that!“

Everything had to be moved and a window have to be removed. You would never know that window was ever there: the cedar shingles on the outside match perfectly! He kept to the time schedule he gave me, right from day one. His recommendations for flooring and fixtures was spot-on. He was always pleasant. And the work was the highest quality. The bathroom is one that I'm very proud of. “John did an excellent job! I cannot recommend him enough. We had John put in recessed lighting in our living room, office, and bedroom, add 4 electrical outlets, and hang TVs in the living room (65”) and bedroom (43”). He did a superb job!! The job was a little more difficult than anticipated as the unit is located in a high rise and there are metal rather than wood studs. But he was able to get the job done just as well. He was able to fish wires through the wall for the TVs so there are no visible wires and also reinforced the mounts so they are extremely secure. John’s prices are also great. I got several quotes and he had competitive pricing. Plus he came out to the property to see the job several days before starting to give an accurate quote. Our building had specific insurance requirements which he also complied with. Lastly, he was incredibly friendly, outgoing, and HONEST, letting us know what we actually did and didn’t need, which was important for newbies (first time home buyers). Once the job was done he walked us through everything and made sure to answer all of our questions. And the best part was he was able to finish everything in one day!! He could not have made this process any easier. We will be using John for all of our electrical work moving forward and recommending to friends and family.“

“This review is long overdue. Richard Reed is the owner of North Shoe Tile and Marble Co. Way back in 2014 he replaced the tile of our entire first floor at our home in N.Reading. He demo’d the old floors and completed everything in a week and a half. It looked great then, and still looks great. We couldn’t have been more satisfied.Now fast forward to 2020. Finally time to redo all the tile in our master bath.He ripped out original fiberglass shower unit, and redid the whole thing in tile. Also re-tiled bath floors and tub surround. Again, the project came out fantastic.He’s been in the business a long time. “I contacted NMTI to have my roof replaced to prepare for solar panel installation. Ramon came out initially to discuss any issues I had and to evaluate the roof structure. He addressed the issues I saw and recommended metal valleys. He also recommended altering the front of the roof since I don’t have fascia boards or soffits to prevent water from seeping behind the siding. Which was one of my concerns. The building in which Justin and his team performed tenant improvements is a very old and complicated building, one in which there is a skeleton behind everything you touch. We were able to work through each of them without getting change ordered to death or stopping progress, which was great.Also, although we were previously told it would likely take up to 6 months to get a permit, Justin's team was able to get the permit within a couple of weeks and more importantly completed the project 2 months ahead of schedule. Toby and his team were excellent partners, working with us on items we were particular about (example: high quality insulation, effective sound dampening, etc.) and getting the project finished quickly.
