“Just before Christmas water was leaking in the stove vent and under the floorboards. Mike came out and did a thorough inspection and found a mold. He took the time to explain the mold remediation process and helped to alleviate our concerns. His team was very knowledgeable and efficient, taping off a containment area and using an air scrubber to make sure there were no mold spores spread to the rest of the house.
On another project in the primary bath our contractor found a wall stud with possible mold. Mike was able to come out the next day and assured us that there was no water issue but that the wood was probably brought in that way when the house was built. He quickly remediated the stud and kept our project on schedule.

“I highly recommend Interstate Plumbing. Jaime came to look at what we thought was a leaking pipe in our basement ceiling as water started dripping suddenly from light fixtures. Jamie came first thing and instead of immediately cutting holes in the ceiling, as many would have done, hunted around and determined the leak was coming from our fridge water line and not a pipe after all. Not only did Tom show up on time he was here and ready a few mins early. He got the job done in a timely manner and was VERY fair on the price. I needed drain work done in my bathroom and on the water main to my house! Tom was super clean while working and when he left not only were all problems fixed but he left the place sparkling clean. “We had an incredible experience with this plumber (Richard?), and I can’t recommend him highly enough. When our hot water accessory tank failed, our usual repair team told us it would be three weeks before they could fit us in. With a family of six, that meant no hot showers, no dishwasher, and no warm water for laundry—such a bummer.

This plumber responded quickly and told us he'd come after finishing another job in the morning. That job ended up taking him all day, and when he arrived at our house at 5 PM, I fully expected him to say he'd have to come back another time. Instead, he got straight to work—and didn’t stop until 2:30 in the morning. I was blown away by his dedication, professionalism, and the fact that he went so far above and beyond to make sure our family had hot water again that same day.

What else could I ask for?When the gas company (Nat'l Grid) technicians did not know how to restart an older hot-water boiler heating system after they swapped the gas meter, they called in HomeServe. The HomeServe technicians then damaged the boiler, creating a hazardous situation, including small gas explosions within the boiler, and excess CO emissions. This is a two-family building, and my tenant had no heat in January in New England... I called numerous heating contractors, and Stephen Devaney was the first to respond. He met me at the building within an hour of our call, and immediately diagnosed the problem. He spent several hours repairing and adjusting the boiler, and everything was then working fine. He charged me a very reasonable fee, especially considering this was an emergency call on a weekend. I would not hesitate to recommend him.“
