“I’ve been attending the adult strength & conditioning classes with Master Gomes for years, and they’ve been nothing short of transformative. Master Gomes is an exceptional motivator who knows exactly how to bring out the best in each participant. His ability to recognize individual strengths and weaknesses, ensures everyone gets personalized attention. He’s a highly knowledgeable coach and strength trainer and places strong emphasis on injury prevention, which gave me confidence to push myself safely. The classes are fun, engaging, and highly effective—I’ve felt my strength & agility improve significantly. Highly recommend to anyone looking to work out in a supportive, dynamic environment. As a side note, I’m feeling stronger than my identical twin - who agrees (and who’s currently sidelined with an injury from working out at a different facility)!“

“I can't begin to say how amazing this studio is. Tim is so in tune to these kids. My son is definitely a challenge at times, he has a very short attention span and trouble staying on task. Tim took the time to get to know him and what makes him tick. I have seen Ben's (my son) confidence blossom over the past two years with Tim and all the wonderful instructors. (The only reason we left is because our family moved.) 10/10 would recommend. Flexible schedules, professional and caring instructors, and personalized training to meet my son exactly where he was- I have nothing but rave reviews for Harmoni.“

Jae Hun Kim Taekwon-do Institute Martial Arts Schools

“I joined the Jae Hun Kim Taekwon-do Institute's Boston location approximately six months ago, entering as a novice with no prior experience in taekwondo or any martial arts. Despite not being in the younger age demographic, I was nervous about starting this journey, especially uncertain of my capabilities. However, I can confidently say that this decision has proven to be one of the most rewarding of my life.I have had the privilege and honor of being taught by Master Kim and received unparalleled instructions from him. I am always amazed by Master Kim's remarkable ability to recall every student's name and closely monitor individual progress, always giving a sense of personalized attention, even amidst a diverse class of varying belt levels. Throughout the past six months, I have felt nurtured, mentored, motivated, and have learned five forms and many taekwondo skills under Master Kim's guidance. Not to mention getting a great workout! But this is not all. Here are other reasons why this school stands out:1. The school accommodates flexible class schedules for both students and professionals with a class timetable designed to suit diverse schedules.2. The school fosters a friendly and uplifting culture, where every member feels part of a supportive family. Both my peers and Master Kim consistently inspire me to strive for excellence and continual improvement.3. The school offers sparring classes. Despite initial reservations, participating in sparring sessions has enriched my experience and contributed significantly to my development as a martial artist.4. The school offers classes on Zoom!In summary, my journey at Jae Hun Kim Taekwon-do Institute has exceeded all expectations, thanks to the exceptional instruction, supportive community, and diverse learning opportunities offered by this esteemed institution.“

One Step Beyond Martial Arts Training Center Martial Arts Schools

“So happy we found One Step Beyond! My boys (6 and 9) tried soccer, baseball, flag football, but nothing “stuck” until we discovered karate back in March 2021. Fast forward to two classes a week (soon to be 4 ?), 2 belt tests and now a competition team/weapons (all dull, nothing sharp here), my boys couldn’t be happier. Sensei Marie and Sensei Erin are wonderful with the kids and it’s a wide range of all ages and backgrounds. I can honestly say that karate has also taught my boys discipline, fitness, patience and self esteem. I highly recommend One Step Beyond!“

“I started my child with BUKA 8 years ago, when he was four and 5 years later I joined the fun with him. Even though I joined to spent quality time and a bond with my son, I found myself IN LOVE with the art taught at this great academy. It is a great workout, which I enjoy and search but also a mind puzzle that can utilize all avenues of production for one that seeks the challenge. I highly recommend this dojo, as most instructors started as students and know 1st hand the attention, knowledge but also detail each student requires. If you are searching for the right school or dojo for you or your child, search no more as this is the choice for you. Thank you for all you do BUKA!“

Boston Martial Arts Center Martial Arts Schools

“I have been training at Boston Martial Arts for more than 10 years. After trying a number of different martial arts and schools, I was thrilled to find a dojo that is inclusive and diverse, offers a fun and cooperative learning environment, and teaches a really engaging and interesting art. After having had a bad experience at another dojo I realized how important it is to have a teacher that I deeply respect and whom I could see myself learning from for a very long time, and Mr. Mark Davis is that for me.I trained here throughout my grad school years and return to train whenever I can even though I no longer live in the area because the school and the art have beclme an important part of my life.Highly recommend.“

“I’ve been coming to this gym for about a year now, and it has completely transformed how I feel about fitness. Grayson has been my main personal trainer, and he’s genuinely exceptional — consistently prepared, incredibly knowledgeable, and always able to strike that perfect balance between pushing me and supporting me. He pays attention to the details, adjusts sessions based on how I’m feeling that day, and explains the “why” behind every movement. Training with him has made me stronger, more confident, and way more consistent with my routine than I ever thought I’d be.

I’ve also had a few sessions with Chi and Aidan, and each of them brings something unique to the table. Chi, who’s also the owner, deserves a special mention. He’s incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely cares about every person who walks in. You can feel that the community and atmosphere here come directly from his leadership and personality.

The gym is clean, welcoming, and never overcrowded. Workouts are tailored, effective, and actually enjoyable. After a year here, I genuinely look forward to training and feel better than ever.

Couldn’t recommend this place more — if you’re looking for real personal training with trainers who truly care, this is the spot“

“Would recommend this place for a variety of reasons: it's a relatively supportive environment; right now as of October 25, 2024, their ju-jitsu class has a reasonable level of participants, so you'll find practitioners of varying skill level. For kickboxing, it's a cardio-demanding martial art so expect to prepare yourself to be sweating. Some tips from someone who has been going for over 7 months for kickboxing: Buy hand-wraps either on Amazon or at the dojo, gloves, a water bottle and when you get in there, if you plan on sticking it out for a while, ask to be put in their email system so in the case that the dojo is closed ahead of time, you'd know. The website schedule isn't as fully up-to-date, it's better if you email them for an updated schedule. Currently it's $120 per martial art per month, but there have been some exceptions here and there, it's better if you speak with them in person/on the phone for financial payment clarification. I can talk forever with a bunch of other things but this is too long already. Have fun!“

“A perfect place for kids to learn. Tiny Tigers is fun to get the youngest kids excited about learning and discipline. The next level classes are rigorous but forgiving to set a standard without discouraging new learners.

Would recommend to any family.“
