363B Centre St, Jamaica Plain“Bobby and his family/staff are amazing! My son was a member at Bushido Martial Arts for almost 5 years. Its been a wonderful experience watching him learn and grow in Katate. Bobby has been extremely supportive and kind over the years, helping us find our way with scheduling and my son's apprehensions. I would recommend Bushido to anyone who's interested in Martial Arts. They have a variety of classes for all ages. Once you join, you're family!!“

965 Massachusetts Ave #102, Arlington“I went in for the Sunday open mat and the people were very friendly, the mats and shower were clean, and the rolls were good! Will definitely be going back again.“
6AM - 9PM
364 Boylston St #402, Boston“I have severe neuropathy and dropped feet. I had been wearing AFO braces for three years. My leg muscles were gone. I needed help. I found Chi at Clientel3 and things changed almost overnight. I've stopped wearing the braces. I am walking, granted slowly because my feel still drop and I am prone to tripping, but what a difference! My attitude and confidence are up also. I continue to work on it and expect to continue to improve. Chi and his team are the BEST!“
12 - 9:30PM
26 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington“What a special place! This is easily the best gym I’ve ever trained at. The facilities, instructors, atmosphere, and teammates are all top notch. It can be difficult to balance a competitive and safe culture, but Mike and Christie have done an excellent job creating such a space. The variety of instructors and classes means that anyone can find their perfect schedule here. There’s also an outstanding variety of women to train with and I never feel alone on the mat. This gym has spoiled me and I fear I can never leave!“
7 - 8:45AM

170 Kerry Pl, Norwood“My son has been attending Field Martial Arts for over two years, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The instructors are fantastic, keeping the classes fun, engaging, and highly motivating. Through their teachings, my son has developed a strong sense of discipline and respect, all while falling in love with karate. I highly recommend Field Martial Arts to anyone!“
5:30AM - 8PM
290 Providence Hwy, Westwood“Whether moving/living nearby or stopping by when passing through, I highly recommend training at the Lab. They have numerous classes for all skill and experience levels and offer private lessons too! The Lab even has competition-specific classes for those who are serious about competing at local, nation-wide, and/or within prestigious/high level organizations. As a regular competitor, the Lab offered/offers me the unique opportunity to train for competitions with others who also have similar competition goals and rigor—something often not offered at other gyms. Further yet, as a woman competitor, it is often a challenge to find gyms that draw in other women competitors to train with; the Lab has skilled, experienced, and competitive women on their mats. If you are serious about competing and you are a woman, do yourself a favor and train at the Lab!“

The training is amazing and you see progress really quickly. Master Kim is incredibly knowledgeable and pays great attention to detail, which makes all the difference. The community at the school is also very tight, with everyone helping each other.
Highly recommend!!“

My daughter has gained a lot of valuable self-defense skills and her confidence has grown tremendously thanks to his outstanding teaching. The Little Dragons classes are perfect for kids. They get a great work out and learn a lot. If you're thinking about enrolling your kids in martial arts classes, I HIGHLY recommend the Kids Martial Arts program at AMAC.“

We filled three floors of lobby space with our employees watching the performance and excitedly engaging with the lion. The way the lion interacted with the audience together with the music from the beating drums created such a fun and memorable experience for our employees. Thank you!“

92 Franklin St, Quincy“Joined the gym 4 years ago to give Muay Thai a try and I'm honored to be one of their fighters. Coaches are super knowledgeable with decades of experience. Members there are very welcoming and a great place for first timers.“
9:10 - 10:10AM
408 Highland Ave, Somerville“Imagine a martial art studio with zero macho BS, just wonderful human beings of all stripes & types enjoying a high quality and effective level of instruction in a truly fun and caring environment.
Great for adults & kids, there are a lot of students, but this is also clearly a secret gem that, if more people knew about, could easily blow up twice as big as it already is. I'm floored. And not for nothing, Kung Fu AND Tai Chi are freaking beautiful (and empowering) - at the end of class it feels better than yoga ever did (just my personal take - martial arts doesn't just strike a pose, it MOVES).
Davis Square Martial Arts is also terrific for all ages, the studio is very comfortably intergenerational (I'm 49), which I think is quite rare and special. Got an injury or limitation? They will remember and always try to work with it.
Gain balance, posture, a reinvigorated sense of your own movement, strength, and yeah, a splash of extra calm confidence you maybe forgot was in there (or had gotten beaten up by the world a bit). The instructors aren't overtly trying to be inspiring per se, they just show up authentically, and give, and it just happens organically. How cool is that.“
12 - 8PM
1 Michaels Mall, Winthrop“The staff is amazing and friendly here! Special shoutouts to Mr. George and Ms. Lisa for motivating and inspiring me to get back into the gym after 10 years. I enjoy their small talk (health tips and compliments :). Meeting them was one of the best things that happened to me. Forever grateful thank you! I am now part of the kickboxing class led by Andrea, she is awesome and pushes you until you're on your knees! LOL. Highly Recommend everyone to stop by and sign up well worth it in the end!“
4:30 - 7:30PM
618 Gallivan Blvd, Boston“I’ve been attending the adult strength & conditioning classes with Master Gomes for years, and they’ve been nothing short of transformative. Master Gomes is an exceptional motivator who knows exactly how to bring out the best in each participant. His ability to recognize individual strengths and weaknesses, ensures everyone gets personalized attention. He’s a highly knowledgeable coach and strength trainer and places strong emphasis on injury prevention, which gave me confidence to push myself safely. The classes are fun, engaging, and highly effective—I’ve felt my strength & agility improve significantly. Highly recommend to anyone looking to work out in a supportive, dynamic environment. As a side note, I’m feeling stronger than my identical twin - who agrees (and who’s currently sidelined with an injury from working out at a different facility)!“
10AM - 9:30PM
301 Broadway, Arlington“My child has been taking classes here for a month now and she loves it. It’s such a good outlet to learn manners and body control. Mr. Charles and the other instructors are so good with the kids and I’ve been pleased every time we have gone.“

The lessons are fun, engaging, and well-structured, helping to build confidence, discipline, and respect. Sensei is patient, encouraging, and truly cares about each student’s progress. I’m so happy we found this dojo—highly recommend it to any parent looking for quality martial arts training for their child!“

“Would recommend this place for a variety of reasons: it's a relatively supportive environment; right now as of October 25, 2024, their ju-jitsu class has a reasonable level of participants, so you'll find practitioners of varying skill level. For kickboxing, it's a cardio-demanding martial art so expect to prepare yourself to be sweating. Some tips from someone who has been going for over 7 months for kickboxing: Buy hand-wraps either on Amazon or at the dojo, gloves, a water bottle and when you get in there, if you plan on sticking it out for a while, ask to be put in their email system so in the case that the dojo is closed ahead of time, you'd know. The website schedule isn't as fully up-to-date, it's better if you email them for an updated schedule. Currently it's $120 per martial art per month, but there have been some exceptions here and there, it's better if you speak with them in person/on the phone for financial payment clarification. I can talk forever with a bunch of other things but this is too long already. Have fun!“
