Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.
Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.
The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.
We will truly miss JP Animal Clinic!“

288 Newbury St, Boston“Pinto is a very sweet dog with very high anxiety around veterinary treatment, specifically onset during the COVID pandemic. Back Bay Veterinary Clinic -- and Dr. Graham in particular -- has been SO wonderful in working with us to figure out the best way to make sure he is calm and comfortable so that he can get the care he needs! I recommend Back Bay Vet to ALL of my friends with pets, but especially anyone with a ~* special *~ dog like Pinto.“

93 Hyde Park Ave, Boston“We have 2 dogs that are frequent flyers at MetroVet. Everyone is so caring with my pups and always helpful with my many phone calls with questions. My dogs are very nervous and we’ve had experiences with other vets where I wasn’t allowed in the exam room or they just didn’t seem to care about my dogs being comfortable there. Here I get to stay with them and they take things slow at their pace and give lots of good treats. We also go right into the exam room and never have to deal with other dogs being too close to us which is also a plus. My dogs love the staff here! ❤️“

We had a really scary incident at a daycare and had to rush Ravioli to Bond Vet, even though they were about to close. They welcomed us right in and took extra time to make sure he’d be okay. This meant the world and I’ll never forget how kind every person was that night.
Anytime we walk by, Ravioli actually begs to go inside - he loves it so much. We try to see Dr. Alander when we can, but all the vets & nurses have been so kind and accommodating! Highly recommend!!“

102 Beverly St, Boston“Had a great experience with the North Station Office. We usually go to the South boston office but NS was able to get us in sooner as Trevor had a MPL issue that needed immediate attention. The Emilies ( front desk Emily and vet tech Emily) were kind and understanding for this worried dog Mom! Sherry was so kind too. Vet explained everything in detail and gave sound information in regards to options for my morkie’s car Will definitely return?“
