“Mastercraft replaced the roof on our 1873 mansard house in Cambridge. The project was extensive, covering the mansard sides, peaked top, an L-shaped flat roof over an extension, a bay window, an overhang at the front door, and the flat roof of a mudroom, plus new gutters, soffits, and window trim.

The crew, led by Alex, worked diligently for 10 full days, completing long hours and cleaning up meticulously at the end of each day. John O'Brien, the owner, was great to work with. He helped us select an asphalt shingle with a bit of color, which served as a fitting replacement for the original 152-year-old slate. The initial quote was clear and detailed, and the final price was only about 10% more due to necessary permits, dumpster overweight from the old slate, and new plywood sheathing for rotted wood.

John handled the logistics of working in Cambridge, including the necessary permits for construction and the dumpster. Both his roofing supplier and dumpster company were excellent, with drivers who skillfully navigated our narrow street without any issues. John was responsive to texts and calls, easy to work with.

We will not need a new roof anytime soon, but I would hire Mastercraft again.“
