In the end I chose to do the long term option and am very glad I did. My under sink looks cleaner and more organized than ever and I am happy not to have any galvanized pipes anymore. He showed me a picture of the work done in the crawl space and of the inside of galvanized pipe he replaced which was VERY nasty. “Competent ,knowledge but pricey. Tech was late to the appointment and had to come next day to finish the job. They charged three separate fees, service call fee, labor fee and diagnosis fee, which was little confusing. Their refrigerant rate was more than double then a competitor ( $ 210 per lbs for R-410) which substantially increased the cost of repair. The tech was knowledgeable and diagnose the issue/leak in evaporator coil, however would get second estimate from competitor to ensure being offered a fair price.“
