“I just wanted to give a shout out to my PCP, Dr. Agustin Ramirez. Coming from the healthcare field myself, with over 20 years in multiple specialties, it’s rare to find a physician who: 1) Listens 2) touches their patients 3) cares 4) helps. I’m sorry but this is the truth- it’s hard for some to accept but it is the tangible result of the sad trajectory of the marriage between medicine and money. My doctor, whom I have followed to several practices until his own, is an exception. He cares, he helps me when other’s will not, even if it is a shortcoming of another provider- he will do what he can to see I’m cared for, and even will outsource to find me answers before referring me somewhere just to see a specialist. He tries and that is saying a lot. I can message him and he responds days, He is DEPENDABLE. He never demeans me, he isn’t patronizing and he is always there trying for me when it feels like others just won’t, don’t, or simply don’t have the time. This man is the epitome of an excellent physician. He starts his visit with “How have you been?” He then asks me about a personal life event, a vacation or something I don’t usually remember and will think to myself- oh my how did he even remember that?! He asks about my family. He is knowledgeable, capable and doesn’t pawn me off on expensive specialist’s when he can handle it. I am so incredibly fortunate to have him. The others I have referred to him, I know they can agree, we are truly lucky to have him. He works with his patients. He doesn’t make me feel like him a number in his schedule for the day. I know he gets busy, but he NEVER makes me feel like it. I’m just grateful to have a physician like this on my side. It’s no wonder to me I don’t see his patients in the ER because he takes care of them so well and prevents them from ED visits. I have followed him for years and should he move again, I will follow him there too because he is WORTH it. If you are looking for a new doctor, or feel like you aren’t being cared for, appreciated or heard- I am here to tell you there are doctors out there like Dr. Ramirez who exist that truly care about the health and happiness of their patients. ♥️“

“We have absolutely loved having Taylor as my son’s PT! He is almost 12 and has been receiving therapy since a baby and Taylor has been his favorite therapist he’s ever had! She’s so patient and finds the most creative ways to make therapy sessions fun for him, while also working his muscles/body. She always sends home printed out demonstrations of what they did in therapy so we can work on it at home with him as well!!“

“I started at the Broadway office, but prefer the Portland office simply due to their large parking lot and a slightly easier-to-navigate building layout. For the most part, the staff have always been very helpful with me, particularly over the phone. Dealing with medical issues, especially without health coverage, can be super stressful, so I appreciate the time they took to send me in the right direction. Each nurse practitioner I've seen for treatment has been thoughtful, had great bedside manner, and made sure to leave space for questions and concerns. Sometimes, when reaching the specific department check-in, I wasn't super clear on how sliding-scale would work. The on-site pharmacy can get busy, so if you have the option to pick up medications elsewhere, go for it. But it is very thoughtful and accesible to have an option on-site--just be prepared to wait. Lastly, their patient portal is user-friendly and makes accessing test results simple. Overall, I have always had a positive experience and appreciate the quality of care provided.“

“I've been seeing Dr. Cervera here, who is a hematologist, after a pulmonary embolism (blood clots in my lungs). This is a very caring facility. I've interacted with them on the phone multiple times, and they've always been polite and helpful. They greet you as soon as you walk in the door. I've noticed they recognize and call several patients by name. The facility itself is pleasant, with lots of windows letting in light. They usually have up seasonal decor, to cheer up the reception area. There is plenty of seating and it is pretty quiet even though there are a lot of patients coming and going. I have to do bloodwork prior to each appointment and the lab is quick and efficient. They take care to ask which arm I prefer, have even helped me take off my jacket, and then make small talk while they work. It's usually another brief wait in the waiting area, and then I'm called back to the exam rooms. The nurse is always very kind, takes my vitals asks a few questions and then the doctor comes in. Dr. Cervera is very kind and attentive, he both asks questions and listens. I never feel rushed and feel that he explains things well and keeps me informed and involved in my care. I highly recommend the Cancer Center, Dr. Alfonso Cervera, and the staff.“

“Female Veterans in the Louisville, KY area; Let me tell you about this AWESOME male gynecologist at the Robley Rex VA!!!! ??? I cannot praise the Louisville VA surgery team enough! Here I am about 10 hours postop from getting my tubes removed. Doctor James Graham is a phenomenal gynecologist!!! And I dont say that lightly! I was apprehensive at first, because I have MST and PTSD, so I stayed away from male gynecologists. Unfortunately, the female gynecologist that I went to retired, so I was asked to give this gentleman a chance. LET ME TELL YOU ? dr. Graham makes you feel like you are the only person in the room. He asks such thorough questions and looks out for the best in women’s health. When I told him that I wanted the sterilization procedure (tubes removed, NOT tied/clamped) he did not give me any pushback, just a lot of information and then even went the extra mile! Since I was due for my Pap soon, and a marina replacement, we did a three for one special in the operating room. ? most doctors would just remove the tubes and that’s it. But he asked me how my cycle and everything usually was, and decided to keep the marina in to continue to manage my cycle/blood flow. So not only are my tubes removed, but now I still get to keep my marina, so we are double locked for no more kids in the future! Also, my mom was my driver and she had this to say about him (when updating my family); ”Surgeon just came out and said all went well. Said Nat also had some adhesions from her C-section that he went ahead and removed those too while he was in there. My guess is that any pelvic pain esp during periods that Nat was having were made worse by those adhesions. This doc has an outstanding bedside manner. Very personable and down to earth.”“
