“I completed a rotation in this clinical externship program in Indianapolis in February 2026, and I had a really great experience. It provides valuable hands-on exposure to primary care and urgent care, which is very helpful for IMGs preparing for U.S. residency.

Dr. Khan is an excellent mentor. He is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and he always takes the time to explain his clinical thinking and answer questions. The staff in the clinic are also very warm and kind, and they were very supportive during my rotation.

Our speech therapist, Miss Katie ( as my son calls her) was so amazing to work with. I get a call service who in turns sends a message to the office. I have a matter to speak to them about and called 7 days ago and never received a reply. It seems like my messages are never responded to since this call service took over.

“I had to go in for a routine procedure (endoscopy) to determine if I had an autoimmune disease associated with some symptoms I’ve been having. Procedure went well, no concerns/complaints and I didn’t remember a thing about the procedure itself.

Bill (a nurse), Adam (the anesthesiologist) and a plethora of other nurses were fantastic.

I had one poor experience.

The second from last nurse I had made comments about me coming down from anesthesia, making comments like “don’t act high, we didn’t give you narcotics”. I personally get very anxious/nervous when coming down from any kind of sedation and when I do, I tend to a nervous giggle/twitch from anxiety. My fiancé was in the room and immediately his ears perked up, and he started listening in.

Then shortly after, I was asking questions about the procedure because they stated they didn’t see anything, and I was told by that same nurse that it was extremely unlikely that I had this condition because I was “too big” and didn’t fit the criteria. Which is 100% untrue (she did not use the words fat, but the comment was suggestive enough for me to understand what she meant by it).

I am a little larger than average, about 165-175lbs on a bad day, and her comments absolutely crushed me because I’ve been on a weight loss journey and have lost about 30/40lbs in the past year. She made similar comments of how I would’ve had this condition since I was young, and that these people are “sticky skinny, pale and anemic” (which I was all of those for years until I gave birth to my last child) and that these conditions are “lifelong” and “don’t suddenly appear” (I was told the opposite by my physician).

All in all, it was a pleasant experience until the very end. I may have to get another procedure done here and I would trust them enough to confirm a diagnosis. But some, I’d recommend, should take another course on bedside manner.“

Let me tell you my husband hates going to the doctor and never would, once he met Dr. Johnstone and had his new patient appointment he started taking his health more serious and follows what Dr. Johnstone recommends.

Dr. Johnstone is an excellent doctor! I have had a lot of health issues off and on through my lifetime and he’s helped me through every single one. He cares deeply for all his patients and truly listens. He’s not in and out of the room in 20mins like in network providers who limit your reasons for being seen that day. He spends as much time as he needs with you. You can’t get that anywhere else! Even though he does not take insurance and he is a membership based practice, his prices are very affordable. I have even been able to submit superbills to my insurance company for my office visits and I have received reimbursement back!
