“Just this month (Dec 2025) Nate and John installed two full new heat pump systems in our house - one for front and one for the back of the house. The existing units were 30 and 20 years old and at risk of failure any time. They gave us a clear detailed estimate after making a careful inspection of what was needed. they didn't try to up sell me to units I didn't really want. They climbed in the attic and found leaking ducts that they would repair (we had suspected such things but didn't mention them but they found them). They worked with us to schedule installs just when we wanted them. and got the jobs done ahead of their estimtes. The were very carful of not getting the carpets dirty and clenaed up after themselves totally. Took away all the old parts and left things working and great. “Been using Goodner since about 2008 on the recommendation of a coworker who was born and raised in Columbus. Most of the time, Mike Goodner is the one that comes onsite to do my work and he is great. He has probably forgotten more about AC / Heating that most people will ever know.

These days, most folks just want to throw part at something or replace it. There are very few folks left that have true diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Mike does and they are great. As an engineer, I appreciate this seemingly lost skill.

I have had some weird situations related to my AC in the past -- stuff that no doubt would have stumped just about any one else. He has pulled out his Ohm Meter, started to trace schematics and figured it out no matter now long it takes. He does not put on unnecessary parts, try to sell new units, or rush through any of the work that he does.
